Stones Drive Explorers

There’s something so special about sitting back and simply watching children play❤️.

Today, the children created their very own Duplo town, completely led by their imaginations, ideas and curiosity. 🏠🚗🌳

No adult direction, no instructions and no “this is how you do it”; just children creating, building, problem solving and bringing their own little world to life.

After having the privilege of touring the beautiful new IPU at Overgate Hospice, I couldn’t resist bringing home a little piece of its history. This wonderful slice of wood comes from a tree that sadly had to be taken down during the development.

It has already become a much-loved addition to our setting, inspiring endless small world play and imaginative adventures. Whether it’s transformed into a woodland, a fairy garden, a dinosaur habitat or a place for woodland animals to explore, the children have embraced it with such creativity 🌳 🪵.

We are soaking up every moment with the most amazing group of Explorers 🩷☀️🌻🍄🪵🌳🩷.

💛 ☀️ 🌳 A week in the life of an Explorer.

We have had a busy, fun week with lots of outdoor play and exploration 🌳 ☀️ 💛.

This walk fills me with so many emotions. In a few weeks time this most amazing group of children are moving on to new adventures 🌳.

These Explorers have been with us since babies, we have had the most wonderful adventures and it’s been an absolute privilege to watch them grow into the strong independent children they have become 💚.

Wow what a day 😍 We have had the most wonderful day celebrating our amazing Explorers who are leaving us for school 🌳.

We’ve sang, danced, acted out our very own fairy tales, rode some very funny rides, climbed, swung, slide and cartwheeled around the park.

We are going to miss this most amazing crazy bunch in September, our hearts are full and eyes a little watery from some beautiful memories made 💕.

A huge thank you also to Molly and Maddie for giving up your Saturday, I appreciate and love you both very much 💕.
