Emotionally-Based School Absence can be worrying for any family dealing with the matter. North Somerset Parent Carers Working Together Forum are welcoming Catrina Lowri back to talk about this important matter further with lots of strategies and advice.

Catrina came to do some training with our staff this week and we can assure you she is a superb facilitator with purposeful next steps. If this matter impacts you and your family, this is definitely training that we'd advise!

Some really helpful advice for those first day photos.

It’s almost time for children to return to school. We know it’s is a really exciting time and a proud moment every year. Before you take that traditional back to school photo and post to social media, consider the details you are sharing and the danger of doing so.

Sussex Policee have created this image and following post to highlight the dangers of oversharing online:

This looks like a normal picture but look at what you are letting a predator know…

• Your house number
• Your street name
• Your car and registration
• What School they go to
• Your child’s age
• Your name
• You’re married

That’s before you put a status on the photo giving their names and more information

Please don’t post these photos, keep your children safe

All this information from one single picture.

Everyday family photos can be misused by Al tools to create illegal child abuse imagery.

There are steps you can take, many you may already be doing, to protect your family and friends.
