Sports Week is Here at Woodmansterne!
We’re kicking things off in true Woodmansterne style with our much-loved Woodmansterne Workout! This morning, the whole school came together outside, dressed in their best sports kit, ready to move, groove and get active to music. From energetic warm-ups to big smiles all around, it was the perfect way to launch a week dedicated to fitness, fun and teamwork!

Year 1 had a wonderful day exploring Wisley, yesterday, as part of their Dens and Dandelions topic. The children enjoyed discovering the natural environment, building dens, exploring plants and learning about the world around them through hands‑on experiences. The trip brought their learning to life and inspired curiosity, teamwork and a real love of nature. A fantastic day of exploration and outdoor learning!

As part of their Scented Garden topic, our Year 2 children have been busy planting seeds and getting their hands dirty in our beautiful school grounds. Using our 5.5 acres of outdoor space, the children explored how plants grow, talked about different scents, and learned how to care for their environment. This hands‑on experience perfectly reflects our outdoor learning ethos -curious minds, meaningful experiences and learning beyond the classroom walls. We can’t wait to see what grows!

Our Reception children have been busy showing off their amazing independent writing! They are applying their phonics, forming letters carefully and writing for a range of purposes. It’s wonderful to see their confidence grow as they express their own ideas in writing. We couldn’t be prouder of their hard work and progress!

Cheep, cheep – we have new arrivals on Little Oaks Farm!
We’ve been delighted to welcome 8 fluffy chicks, hatched right here this week. Watching them emerge has been truly magical and the children are already completely smitten! A wonderful hands‑on learning experience we know the children will never forget.
