Pre prep were very excited this yesterday morning as all of our caterpillars are now in their cocoons 🐛 we had fun creating beautiful butterfly paintings yesterday 🦋

Carpet time is a great time to get the children together to learn new things. Today the toddlers have been listening to music and playing musical instruments to the rhythm. These were then left in the room so the children could explore them during free play. Children learned new vocabulary and share words like “shake”, “bang” and “tap.”

The children in Pre-Toddlers and Babies have been exploring colour through paint. The babies used their hands to explore paint through cling film and the Pre-Toddlers used sponges and their hands for collaborative art. How do you use paint at home?

Here at the Old Barn nursery, we love to celebrate with our children. In babies, we are lucky to spend precious moments with children in their first year of life. This week we celebrated one of our babies 1st birthdays here at the Old Barn. What things do you celebrate with your family and friends?

Love is in the air all over The Old Barn. The Babies have been baking with the toddlers, there has been sensory rice play, valentines water play, painting and much, much more.
