Back to work, hard at it on the 29th September, helping kids think better and check their own work, but till then, my feet 🦶 will be up, off to an unknown destination, for a belated honeymoon ❤️‍🔥

Celebrating my 13th year on Facebook as a maths tutor.
Wow , I have been a Maths tutor quite a while! At the beginning of my tutoring I used to put an advert in the paper !! There was the Portadown times, and a free local craigavon paper! Those were the days!

Thank you all for your custom and support, it is really appreciated. I love being able to help young people develop their thinking skills and mature a little; oh and pass exams too.

Graham’s Maths Tuition — Bangor | 2026 Prices

Hi, I’m Graham, an experienced Maths tutor based in Bangor.

I have over 15 years’ experience in private tuition, alongside teaching and exam-marking experience. I genuinely enjoy helping pupils improve their Maths — not simply to achieve better results, but to understand what they are doing, develop confidence and learn how to think problems through for themselves.

Primary School to GCSE
For pupils from Primary School through to GCSE, I offer focused tuition in pairs.
£30 per lesson or 4 lessons for £100.

I take responsibility for pairing pupils of a suitable level where possible, and I have found this approach works extremely well. Pupils still receive plenty of individual attention while also benefiting from working alongside another student.

A-Level/GCE Tuition
At A-Level, Maths becomes considerably more demanding and tuition generally needs to be more intensive and individualised. I therefore offer one-to-one tuition at £50 per hour or 3 lessons for £125.

At the beginning of an A-Level course, it may occasionally be suitable to pair students before progressing to one-to-one tuition as the material becomes more challenging.

My Approach

I like to review pupils jotters, their previous work so that I get a feel for their classroom and current school working environment. This is important as we want to make the most of the school and classroom learning.

Then when I observe working, I like to point out what they do well firstly -as this is good for confidence, but also I like to celebrate errors, as they provide excellent learning opportunities. Individual attention often allows me to spot difficulties that can easily be missed in a busy classroom. I teach pupils how to question their work, check their answers and develop confidence in their own mathematical ability.

I particularly enjoy working with younger pupils, including children from around P5/P6, when strong foundations can make such a difference. We can work on number skills, problem-solving, schoolwork and, importantly, confidence.

Maths Tuition in Bangor – Primary to A-Level

After more than 10 years of providing successful maths tuition in the Waringstown area, Graham’s Maths Tuition is moving to Bangor and is now welcoming new pupils.

I genuinely enjoy helping young people make sense of maths — particularly those who may have lost confidence, feel overwhelmed by certain topics, or simply need concepts explained in a different way.

My aim is not just to help pupils arrive at the right answer, but to help them understand how and why maths works, develop their problem-solving skills, learn how to check their own work, and become more confident in their ability.

Tuition room set up in Bangor, NI - ready for some new customers.

I love tuition and helping young ones think and apply their minds to problems. Maths should be about thinking which is a life skill. Most pupils gain confidence quickly when they start to understand the foundations. Improved marks should follow, but also an improved class attitude.

Come join me for tuition if you are from p6 to year 12. I usually tutor in pairs for best prices and a relaxed vibe.
I also tutor individually up to year 14, GCE’s , formerly A-levels. Because the work is more intense it is always 1-1 and cost slightly more, but pupils often see great improvements with greater understanding.

Graham’s maths tuition is moving to Bangor.

I have built up a brilliant business over the past 10+ years but am now moving away from Waringstown.

I really enjoy helping people to understand problems, to gain confidence in their ability to think and work things out. To learn stuff and to find ways of checking their findings. In short, i love assisting your child improve their Maths skills. From p5 through primary school to secondary school and exams of GCSE or GCE, I can help.

The widespread belief that high cholesterol causes heart disease is a false narrative.

Cholesterol is vital for hormone production, brain health, and cell membrane integrity.

Both LDL and HDL cholesterol are simply exchangers—they shuttle fats, including cholesterol, back and forth in your body. There is nothing inherently “good” or “bad” about them.

And the truth is that 50% of people who suffer heart attacks have normal or low cholesterol.
