Club Spotlight: American Football

“American football is an inclusive, high-energy and extremely fun sport. All of our members are friendly and dedicated, and we have applied to compete in BUCS in the new year and we are ecstatic about new challenge. Given that it is the perfect time to join a club that plays a sport that employs physicality, careful strategy and pure grit and determination. Most of our members have never played the sport before and find themselves loving it, looking forward to each session. So, whether or not you are brand new to the sport or have played it before, we’d love for you to join. 💚💛🦁”

Club Spotlights: Powerlifting 🏋️‍♂️💪

“Powerlifting is a vibrant and supportive community always looking to welcome new individuals. We are a relatively unknown sport, so any opportunity to teach beginners or meet experienced powerlifters is great! It’s easy to learn, and addictive once you have. Gaining strength, confidence and friends - what more could you want? We meet twice a week at Platform 81 to learn and train the three barbell movements that comprise powerlifting: squat, bench and deadlift. We can’t wait to welcome new freshers and existing students that are keen to try next year!”
