We are so excited to announce BUSC is re-entering the university sailing sustainability challenge hosted by The Green Blue this year!! ⛵️
This year we are aiming to achieve the gold award and in doing so we will be practicing and promoting environmentally friendly and sustainable practices on and off the water. 🏆♻️
This is very important for our club, as well as an amazing opportunity for new and old club members to work together to keep our waters clean and healthy. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to our environmental officer if you have any questions about the challenge or how you can get involved and follow along for updates on our progress completing the challenge! 💪

Hi all!

We are hosting a racing event on the 29th of October at Royal Anglesey Yacht Club, as our annual university club fundraiser and charity fundraiser. We have chosen RNLI, as many individuals local to Beaumaris and Bangor dedicate their time to helping people on the Menai Strait and further afield.

The aim of the day is to have multiple short races in our club fireflies. You can enter as a helm and crew or just yourself. There will be switching and socialising, so it’s a great opportunity to catch up with friends and meet other sailors! All abilities welcome!

A hot lunch will be included followed by more racing. The day will be rounded off with socialising in the bar.

Part 2

SWIM TEST INFORMATION!

To be able to get out on the water with us, you will need to have completed a water competancy test.
Returning sailors will also need to undertake the test again.
Our first session will be on the 24th of September.
