North Wales Chinese School

North Wales Chinese School A non-profit charity run school. Reg Charity No. 1148424
All our teachers and school staff are DBS checked volunteers from the local community.

Teachers hold Bachelor degrees and have experience in teaching students of varying levels of Chinese language. North Wales Chinese School offers classes in Kindergarten and Elementary school. Kindergarten is a two year program that emphasizes brush stokes and character recognition. Elementary school currently offers classes from the 1st grade to the 6th grade. The curriculum emphasizes Mandarin reading and writing skills, listening and conversation, as well as moral education. Selection of curriculum is an area of vital concern for North Wales Chinese School. The School adopts textbooks used by Chinese schools in UK. Students will learn Chinese grammar, idioms, literature, history and traditional Chinese festivals. The curriculum is especially tailored for students whose first language is English. There is one examination scheduled in each semester. Report cards are issued after each examination to provide parents with an appraisal of their child's performance.

A very different but exciting day at the North Wales Chinese School.

Inspector Trystan and Sergeant Arwyl visited the children and introduced themselves amongst the Chinese community in Bangor.

They spoke to us about diversity within the police force and hate crime. They also showed us their uniform and equipment and ended with Q&A!!!

Very educational!
