IMO Safety Signs ๐Ÿšข ๐Ÿ›ณ๏ธ โ›ด๏ธ๐Ÿ›ฅ๏ธ

Did you know that we stock IMO Safety Signs that include Car Deck Signs, Escape Route Signs, Fire Fighting & Fire Safety Signs, IMO Fire Control Signs & Symbols, ISPS Code Signs, Mandatory Signs, Multiple Signs, Prohibition Signs, Rescue Signs, Warning Signs and more.

All our signs are photoluminescent, used in the maritime industry to communicate vital safety information on ships. The safety signs we offer under the brand name SafeSign, are in line with the signs and symbols as developed by the IMO. These symbols and signs consist of safety-related messages that are easy to understand worldwide. This way the signs will be self-explanatory, regardless of nationality or language.

Our photoluminescent safety signs absorb light and store light energy. In case of a blackout, the signs will release this light for visibility. This property allows our signs to provide visibility during emergencies.
๏ฟฝSafeSign innovated Sign production by replacing widely used PVC. Instead of PVC, we use modified PET that is fully recyclable. This makes our signs 100% environmentally friendly. SafeSign safety signs also comply with the necessary ISO standards, such as ISO 116(30) and ISO 24409-2.

๐Ÿ†• New Editions in Stock ๐Ÿ†• ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ‘ทโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐ŸŒŒ

We stock all books from Brown, Son & Ferguson Ltd and in recent weeks various new editions have become available that include the following:

Thomasโ€™ Stowage

Merging of major operators continues to produce economies of scale but to maintain market share each operator needs to ensure that cargoes are carried safely and are delivered in prime condition. Thus, the principles of stowage written by Captain R.E. Thomas nearly 100 years ago are still as relevant today as they were then in ensuring a satisfactory outturn. Thomasโ€™ Stowage has always endeavoured to make that task simpler for the shipโ€™s officer and, in recent years, the terminal manager and container packer.

Meteorology for Seafarers

Meteorology for Seafarers is a technical book which aims to explain the complexities of the atmosphere and provide the information needed by professional seafarers aspiring to first class certificates of competency and to students studying for degrees.

Bernardโ€™s Nautical Star Chart

Bernardโ€™s Nautical Star Chart is now produced in two parts; the Chart, which can be supplied folded or rolled up, and a Booklet.

The Chart is constructed on Mercatorโ€™s Principle, showing all Navigating stars from 70๏ธ ยฐ North and 70ยฐ South declination. Specially adapted for use in conjunction with Brownโ€™s Nautical Almanac, selected stars precise location are detailed in the book.

The Booklet contains a variety of information including notes on the solar system & star positions, tables of corrections & abbreviations, and notations & symbols used in astronomy.
