hy for students and young people and a have deep desire to see clients succeed. Most recently he was Lead Teacher in Science with a leading Online school. He has also taught PHSE and adult non-vocational life skills. With 121 our lessons are student led. Students come with a problem, we are there to try and fix it. However with strong experience in educational course writing for two online companies we can offer more traditional teacher led guidance, questioning and assessment if required. Dr Barnes first started tutoring to make some extra money when a University student and on the personal invitation of some of his professors and local business people to help their children. It soon became clear he was very much in demand and he set up his own 'evening tuition' business. His teaching career began in earnest when a college principal took a liking to his style in an adult education course and invited him to do some day teaching. We love enthusing students in new developments in science and technology and showing them everyday connections that they may previously have been unaware of. Dr Barnes believes in life- long learning and in recent years has taught himself several additional high level scientific disciplines as diverse as climate science and quantum biology! He loves talking to his students about stuff like this while not forgetting the more mundane of course! One can't have just one favorite thing about been a tutor or being tutored! There are many! Concepts that some regard as simple can be baffling or even unintelligible for others. Number one has to be seeing a student's face light up or reading a text message to say 'yes that has clicked now'! Number two has to be the 'flexibility' and number three has to be just the opportunity to meet interesting people and socially interact. Every student has the potential to make a tutor feel good through their achievement at whatever level, from SEN through to GATE. Our philosophy of education is that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. It is our desire to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential. I will provide a safe environment where students are invited to share their ideas and take risks. We make our students feel relaxed, individually valued and important. All students are unique and have something special that they can bring to their own education. We will always try and assist them to express themselves and accept themselves for who they are, as well embrace the differences of others.

In 2026 our focus will be on GCSE SCIENCE. Can offer all exam boards and all variants i.e. single subjects biology, chemistry, physics as DOUBLE OR TRIPLE AWARD.

In 2026 our lessons will be ALL ONLINE.

We use ZOOM VIDEO conferencing.

LESSONS are 40 minutes in duration. Experience dictates this is the ideal attention span and keeps PRICES REASONABLE TOO!

Classical OR in cancer epidemiology. It is used a lot, but is it valid? Unlike infectious disease studies or drug testing where one can have a genuine Control Group, with Cancer the simple fact of the matter is that populations are exposed to varying levels ( never zero) of multiple drivers all of the time. Just as with drugs, I would expect interaction between different drivers. Therefore, I am presently digging into Globocan Stats and developing Multiple Regression analyses against as bigger batch of possible simultaneous environmental and lifestyle drivers and prophylactics as I can handle. By ensuring tight controls on Alpha and VIF I intend the produce ranked real world RR's for each different kind of cancer AND expose what can REALLY PROTECT US!! I have already submitted a paper on Breast Cancer and I am now extending my technique across the whole range of common cancers. I am already seeing incredibly exciting results.
