Our Year 8s had an absolute ball at the disco!

There was plenty of fun, dancing and laughter, with our fantastic DJ keeping everyone on the dance floor! We also had a tuck shop full of treats, a photo booth and lots of great memories made along the way.

A huge thank you to our brilliant student helpers and staff for helping to make the evening such a success. We really appreciate all your hard work and support!

A special thanks to Sean Mullan BL for taking time out of his busy schedule to visit Mr Blaney’s Year 10 Careers class this morning.

Sean, one of the leading barristers in the country, spoke to the pupils about the skills and qualities needed to pursue a career as a barrister, as well as the wide variety of work that he undertakes.

He also emphasised the importance of making a positive difference in society and encouraged the pupils to consider how their future careers can have an impact on others.

A fantastic and insightful opportunity for our pupils. Thank you, Sean, for sharing your time, experience and advice with us!

Some of our Year 9 students recently celebrated the European Day of Languages by taking part in a fun and interactive quiz all about Europe, its countries, flags, landmarks and cultures. Pupils worked together to test their knowledge and learn new facts about Europe.

The event highlighted the importance of language learning and helped students develop a greater appreciation of different cultures, traditions and ways of life. It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm and teamwork on display.

Well done to all Year 9 students who took part!

Subject Spotlight: History

We are incredibly proud of the hard work and enthusiasm our Year 10 students have shown in History!

As part of their studies, students have been exploring why the 20th century was such an important period in history. They began by interviewing relatives about their experiences and memories of events from the 20th century.

Students then completed their own independent research projects, allowing them to explore topics that particularly interested them. Their research covered a fascinating range of developments across culture, politics, economics and religion, demonstrating the breadth and significance of change throughout the century.

A massive well done and thank you to all our Year 10 students for the effort, curiosity and commitment they have put into their projects. We are delighted to see them engaging so enthusiastically with the past and developing their research skills along the way.

Today, we gathered together as a college community for our Opening Year Prayer Service. Students came together in the Assembly Hall to pause, reflect and pray for the year ahead.

The service was beautifully led by our Student Leadership Team, alongside our College Choir and Traditional Group, creating a meaningful and uplifting start to the new academic year.

A sincere thank you to our Religious Education and Music Departments for all their hard work and organisation in bringing the service together.

We wish our whole college community a happy, successful and fulfilling year ahead.
