Celebration of creativity & talent

At our recent GCSE & A Level Art Exhibition, our Art Department was transformed into a vibrant gallery, showcasing the dedication, imagination, and hard work of our talented pupils.
Each display told a unique story and it was inspiring to see how our pupils have explored themes, experimented with techniques, and developed their own artistic voices.
We are of each of our artists and are thankful to the Art Department and everyone who came along to support. 🦢⭐️🎨

Congratulations to Year 13 pupil, Ellie, the new Northern Ireland Champion in 17+ Girls Regional 4 trampolining. Not content with one podium position, Ellie also secured second place in DMT, and gold in the Regional 4 Team event. Incredible achievements!

We wish Ellie continued success as she competes in the League competition in Cardiff next week, and represents Northern Ireland at the Interregional competition in Birmingham in two weeks.

An exciting opportunity to join the team at Glenlola Collegiate School 🦢⭐️

Schools have been informed that all Translink bus services are suspended between 12 noon – 2.00pm.
Given the developing situation, parents may now choose to collect their daughter from reception if they wish.
Pupils will now have permission to use their mobile phones to communicate with their parents.
Other pupils will remain in School and engage with supervised work until School ends at 3pm.
They may then travel home in the usual way or be collected.

You will be aware of rumours of wide-scale protests due to take place this afternoon. Having spoken to PSNI and EA, the current position is that School will remain open as usual. If the situation changes, parents will be informed via Gateway and Social Media.

The Department of Education has just asked schools to advise all pupils due to take external examinations this afternoon to travel to School immediately if possible so that they can take their afternoon examinations.

Year 13 - Work Experience
We are aware that many businesses are closing early due to the situation.
We are requesting that all pupils on WE make their way home as soon as possible and parents contact their daughters to make them aware of this.

Congratulations to Year 11 pupil, Ivana who has recently performed at the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London alongside the renowned Alfie Boe. Taking to the stage as part of a choir, Ivana delivered powerful performances of You’ll Be Back from Hamilton, Snow Patrol’s Run, White Lily Fields, and He Lives in You from The Lion King.

This extraordinary opportunity came following Ivana’s successful audition for Les Misérables with the Huish-Boe Academy, where she has been cast as Cosette. The production will take place at The MAC from July 21st to July 25th this summer, and Ivana’s dedication and passion have clearly been recognised at an outstanding level.

Being invited to perform with Alfie Boe is an incredible honour and a testament to Ivana’s hard work and talent. We are immensely proud of her achievements and wish her every success for her upcoming role as Cosette this summer.
