The last part of a manuscript belonging to William Williams, Llandegai relating to "topography" and the antiquities of Llandegai and the surrounding area.

I take great delight in sharing this given it features the correct name for Moelyci, which was renamed in error by OS cartographers to Moel y Ci. A particular bugbear of mine. More about Moelyci below.

Mae Bangor yn dathlu 150 mlynedd o bêl-droed gystadleuol yn y ddinas yn 2026. Ers ffurfio’r clwb yn niwedd 1876, mae’r gêm wedi chwarae rhan bwysig ym mywyd chwaraeon a diwylliant y ddinas a’r ardal gyfagos.
Mae’r arddangosfa yn Storiel yn cynnig cipolwg ar hanes pêl-droed yn y ddinas, o’r brif dîm i’r gêm amatur a’r colegau. Gan dynnu sylw hefyd at yr unigolion sydd wedi gwneud eu marc ar lwyfan y byd, drwy arteffactau, ffotograffau a chofebion o wahanol gyfnodau yr hanes, yn cynnwys benthyciadau gan Archifau Prifysgol Bangor, cyn-chwaraewyr a chefnogwyr.

Bangor celebrates 150 years of competitive football in the city in 2026. Since the club was formed in late 1876, the game has played an important role in the sporting and cultural life of the city and the surrounding area.
This exhibition at Storiel offers an insight into the history of football in the city, from the main team to the amateur game and the colleges. Highlighting also the individuals who have made their mark on the world stage, through artefacts, photographs and memorials from different periods of history, including items from the Archifau Prifysgol Bangor University Archives ex-players and supporters.

in 1831, The paddle steamer Rothsay Castle ran aground at Dutchman's Bank, near Beaumaris and sank with the loss of 130 lives

An imposing volume of maps of the Penrhos Estate, 31 in all, measuring 2’ 3” by 1’ 7”. On the inside of the front cover is the following inscriptions: “Grosvenor Place, August 2, 1801 – This book of maps was given to Edward Stanley by his father, Sir John Thomas Stanley, Bart.” Each map shows a particular tenement or tenements with each field numbered and picked out in green or yellow. A key on the opposite page gives the names of the tenements and fields with their occupiers and acreage.
