💙 A Personal Update & Business Notice 💙

I wanted to take a moment to share an update with you all and to thank you sincerely for your patience and understanding over the past year.

Since April 2025, I’ve been dealing with a significant decline in my gall bladder function and have experienced over 50 gall bladder attacks, several of which resulted in hospital admissions. Most recently, I was admitted again — but this time, thankfully, due to the severity and frequency of the attacks and related complications, a surgical slot became available, and I have now had my gall bladder removed.

I am incredibly relieved and hopeful that this marks the end of what has been a very difficult year health-wise, and that I can now move forward with renewed focus and energy. I’m really looking forward to being fully back to doing what I love: creating and providing high-quality CCEA Religious Studies resources for teachers and students.

Many of these files are extremely large (some are over 400 slides, covering entire courses with plenary tasks and resources), which is why Dropbox is now being used instead of FlippingBook.

Hi everyone,

I write this from my hospital bed. I know I have been poor at communicating recently. This is due to the recurrent rates of gall bladder attacks I've had and stones getting stuck in bile ducts.

We have also had news within my immediate family of cancer. As such, my focus has been extremely diverted from my work to both my own health and my family's.

As you probably know, the NHS waitlists are lengthy, and I have been presenting at the hospital regularly to try and expedite surgery. At present, I am jaundiced, and awaiting an MRI scan to find this rogue, stuck stone that had me projectile vomiting for 3 days.

I promise, presentations are forthcoming, but my own health and my family's have hampered my completion and publication of these PPTs.

Hi everyone,

I was urgently admitted for an ERCP due to a blockage of my bile ducts. I am now on the urgent list for surgery. As a result I have not been at my computer as much to upload resources, and have sadly had to cancel and refund the CPD programs for this month. It has been a draining time for me, but hopefully with surgery I will improve soon.

Hi Everyone!

Update on the pre-order presentations for GCSE and GCE. These will be ready and links emailed on August 21st - just in time for pre-term training for you to review and tweak to your liking.

If anyone has emailed enquiring about booklet orders- all these were emailed out. However, sometimes C2K filters external emails - if you requested your booklet email via a C2KNI or C2KEN email, can you email with either your school-specific email address or a personal email address to ensure your booklet links are received.

Hi all,

In the last few weeks, the EA network has been especially diligent at filtering external communications with C2K email addresses or internal network emails. This has meant we have had a few bursars and teachers email us thinking they haven't received their e-resources. This is not the case - they have been emailed, but have obviously been filtered.

If you can, try to use a personal email address when placing orders to avoid this issue.
