💥 Format Of GL Assessment Day 💥
For those who have just decided to do the GL test, (perhaps following my post explaining the benefit of doing both), or even for the dedicated GL’ers who haven’t wrapped their heads around this yet… here is the complete format of the GL Assessment Day. 🤓
Key points I think may interest you:
📌 All questions are multiple choice.
📌 English is first.
📌 English has 50 questions in 50mins.
📌 Maths has 45 questions in 45mins.
📌There are a couple of practice rounds in each subject to warm the brain up, settle nerves and make sure the child is familiar with what they’re about to do (I think this is a great idea). These marks don’t count.
📌 There’s a comfort break between the two subjects and the kids usually have a walk around to relax and get a quick snack which the school provides (the school will advise if any change to this).
‼️ You drop the child off at the school gates (or wherever advised) usually around 9am and pick-up around 12pm (the school will be more specific) BUT be warned, when you approach the school, someone will meet you and the child will be gone! Boom! 🪄No time for “Good luck, Sweetie” or last minute checks on hairstyle…that is it…time up as the child scurries after their guide. This may sound kinda obvious but please take note of this as every year it shocks people. 😄
I hope that helps. 👍
