We are so proud to share that the Well North Wales partnership, which includes the Academy for Healthy Equity, has been held up as an exemplar of population health/systems leadership in this editorial in this month's Journal of Public Health.

Take a look:
Public health under threat: how our leadership must evolve in complex and uncertain times

The ‘Well North Wales’ programme, led by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, exemplifies how co-creating with communities can support better public health; taking a whole-systems, place-based approach to tackling health inequalities and focusing on co-production with communities to design services focused on homelessness, employability, community resilience, and other themes in high-need areas like Shotton and Bangor. The programme provides a framework for local communities and organisations to work together to improve health and wellbeing, forging long-term partnerships by building trust and responding to the needs of communities. As we build our public health programmes to tackle the complex challenges we face in today’s world we must work in collaboration with the populations we seek to serve, holding their needs at the heart of all that we do.

Rydyn ni mor falch o rannu bod y bartneriaeth Well North Wales, sy’n cynnwys yr Academi ar gyfer Tegwch Iechyd, wedi cael ei chydnabod fel enghraifft ragorol o arweinyddiaeth systemau/iechyd poblogaeth yn yr erthygl olygyddol hon yn rhifyn mis hwn o'r Journal of Public Health.

Cymerwch olwg:

Mae iechyd cyhoeddus dan fygythiad: sut mae’n rhaid i’n harweinyddiaeth esblygu mewn cyfnodau cymhleth ac ansicr

Mae’r rhaglen ‘Well North Wales’, dan arweiniad Bwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Betsi Cadwaladr, yn enghraifft o’r modd y gall cyd-greu gyda chymunedau gefnogi iechyd cyhoeddus gwell; gan ddefnyddio dull system gyfan, wedi’i seilio ar le, i fynd i’r afael ag anghydraddoldebau iechyd a chanolbwyntio ar gyd-gynhyrchu gyda chymunedau i ddylunio gwasanaethau sy’n canolbwyntio ar ddigartrefedd, cyflogadwyedd, gwytnwch cymunedol, ac agweddau eraill mewn ardaloedd o angen uchel fel Shotton a Bangor. Mae’r rhaglen yn darparu fframwaith i gymunedau lleol a sefydliadau weithio gyda’i gilydd i wella iechyd a llesiant, gan feithrin partneriaethau hirdymor drwy adeiladu ymddiriedaeth ac ymateb i anghenion cymunedau. Wrth inni ddatblygu ein rhaglenni iechyd cyhoeddus i fynd i’r afael â’r heriau cymhleth sydd ohoni heddiw, rhaid inni weithio ar y cyd â’r boblogaeth yr ydym yn ceisio ei gwasanaethu, gan roi eu hanghenion wrth wraidd popeth a wnawn.
