Team P1 have enjoyed a week of shadow dancing in PE, hand printing to make autumn trees and keeping fit and taking in the Daily Mile outside. We are making new friends, exploring how to sort colours and counting up and down the number line! Learning is fun in Primary one! 🤩

Golden Dance Awards NI

We are delighted to be winners of the Dance for Wellbeing Award.

Miss Anderson, our amazing dance teacher, believes that dance is not just for the “dancers.” She believes that dance is about building and bringing a community together. Dance is about bringing opportunities beyond the classroom. It is about making friends and creating connections. It is a creative outlet where confidence is developed and children experience joy. Ultimately, it improves wellbeing.

Miss Anderson lives out our values and has created a community through dance, not just in Ballymagee but by bringing schools and children across North Down together.

We are delighted that Miss Anderson’s dedication, talent and inspirational leadership have been recognised!

Huge congratulations Miss Anderson 👏🏻🤩⭐️🌟💃

🎉 NEWS JUST IN! 🎉
Here at Ballymagee, we are so incredibly lucky to have a wonderful PTA – FAB (Friends at Ballymagee) – who work tirelessly behind the scenes planning, organising and running fundraising events to raise much-needed funds for our school… & today we received some amazing news!! 🥁

Last academic year, our FAB fundraising total was a staggering £17,167!!! 🤩👏

What an incredible total! A huge THANK YOU to every member of our FAB team, Helping Hands, our school community, families, friends and everyone who supported our events, donated, volunteered and helped make this possible.

Every penny raised makes a real difference to our children and our school.

We are so proud of what our Ballymagee community can achieve when we all pull together.

£17,167… WOW! 🎉🙌♥️

Today our children voted for their School Council representatives and made their voices heard!

Well done to all candidates! 👏🏻

This week, some of our children have had the very important job of becoming Honorary Police Officers for the day! 🚔

Working alongside our local Neighbourhood Policing Team and Ards and North Down PCSP, our young officers have been helping to remind drivers about the importance of safe and considerate parking around our school.

They’ve been out and about, sharing some important messages and doing a fantastic job!

And they’re not finished yet… 👀
Our Honorary Officers will be back on patrol later this week!

A huge thank you to everyone involved for helping us keep our children safe. 💙

We’re certainly not revolting children! 😄

Our P5–7 Musical Theatre Enrichment Club have been working hard to learn Revolting Children from the musical Matilda AND this is only week 2!!! 🎭🎶

We can’t wait to add the dance moves soon and bring the whole number to life! 💃🕺✨
