Ballymagee End-of-Year Fun!🎉☀️
We took our final whole school assembly of the year outside! We loved hearing the orchestra playing the glockenspiels. Our amazing P7’s shone as they sang a song from their show and their special leavers’ song. We said a fond farewell to Mrs Mawhinney, Mrs Zund and Mrs Haylett, thanked by all for everything they have done. 💐
What a wonderful way to end the year! 💫👏🏻

Over the past 2 days we have had a lovely time celebrating our wonderful P7s at their Leavers’ Assembly and their Awards Assembly. It has been so special getting to reflect on their journey with us over the past 7 or 8 years.

It was lovely to have George, from Go Fly Your Kite, come to do a kite making workshop with some of our Primary 7s. The children had lots of fun and George helped them to reflect on what makes someone a good friend and celebrating our differences 🪁

Wrapping up the second year of our Shared Education partnership with Towerview Primary School Bangor and Kilmaine Primary School and Nursery Unit… what a year!👏🏼🎉

Over the weekend we were delighted to hear that we have been shortlisted as finalists in three categories at the Golden Dance Awards N.I. 2026!🎉

This recognition reflects the incredible commitment, enthusiasm, dedication and teamwork of our children, staff and wider school community. We are so proud of everything that has been achieved through dance and the positive impact it continues to have across our school and with other schools in our area through our Primary School Let’s Dance event.

We can’t wait to celebrate with the other finalists at the awards in September. Well done, Ballymagee!💫✨

This morning, Rebecca and Reece from Love for Life are working with our P7 pupils on the What’s Inside? programme as part of our PD&MU curriculum. We’re having a great morning filled with fun, activities and learning.

Our P7 children had a great time at Crawfordsburn Scout Centre this week as part of their Shared Education Program with Towerview Primary School Bangor and Kilmaine Primary School and Nursery Unit

This week our P6 and P7 classes have enjoyed visits from to discuss money and budgeting as part of their Money Smart financial education programme. 👏🏼

We were delighted to welcome Lynn from Marie Curie UK and present her with a cheque for £523. This fantastic amount was raised by our P6 pupils through their Ballymagee-grown plant sale last week. We are incredibly proud of their hard work. Thank you all for your generosity in supporting such a worthwhile cause.💛🌱
