I'm pausing the stall applications for now as have a long list of names of those who say they are interested. Will leave it a few days and see if anyone changes their mind and if any slots free up.

Calling all stashers and hoarders, it's time for a Textile Destash!!

We're throwing open the doors of The Dressmaker's Apprentice studio for a textile destash pop-up on Saturday 3rd October.

If your stash has taken over the spare room (we don't judge, ours has too), this is your chance to clear space, make a bit of cash, and give beautiful materials a second home. And if you're on the hunt for a bargain, come and see what treasures other stitchers are letting go of.

We're looking for stallholders selling:
👗 Pre-loved clothing
🧵 Fabrics
🧶 Yarn and wool
🎀 Ribbons and trims
🪡 Threads and haberdashery

Whether you've got a full stash to clear or just a bag of bits, there's a spot for you.

Want to learn to sew but don't have a sewing machine? No problem at all! I have sewing machines all ready and waiting for you to learn on in the sewing studio.

Have your own machine but never used it? Bring it along and learn on it.

What an amazing two days of sewing in fabulous Carrickfergus! A huge heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along on Friday and Saturday, you are all sewing naturals!

A big well done too, to two of our youngest beginners, who both did an amazing job learning to use their sewing machines and sewing their reversible fabric bags. You really can learn to sew at any age. 🥰

Next classes in Carrick are the 28th and 29th of August. These are currently full, however there has been such interest I'll be sharing more dates and classes for Carrick soon - they'll always be shared on my page first - follow to make sure you don't miss out.

There are beginner classes scheduled throughout September in the Bangor studio - look forward to seeing you there too!

Never used a sewing machine before? No bother. Maybe you have your own sewing machine sitting gathering dust? Let's give it a go.

This is a relaxed, friendly space, no sewing experience required, just bring yourself.
