Good afternoon adventurers, this week has been double celebrations with childminding week and bookbugs birthday. Our adventures have been Teddy bears picnic at the park taking trudie truck with us. The children helped pack up the truck with everything we need (Responsible) Our teddies loved it. They had ago on most of the equipment on the park. We also met up with the banff cluster childminders. Having a lovely story of going on a bear hunt, 🐻 playing games with the parachutes and running through it like in the story. (Enclosing schema) and singing bear songs. It was lovely to have our picnics with everyone. (Included)( I have the right to meet with friends and join groups. Article 15 uncrc) we had a great time at the beach, building sandcastles and digging and rolling in sand. (Enclosing, transportation and enveloping schemas) Lovely to do this with our with friends and having more picnics.🥪🪣

creative, physical and learning activities every day, both indoors and outdoors.) We had a lovely bookbug session at macduff library, it was bookbugs birthday this week. We wished him a happy birthday.🎂 we went to duff house woods, found a birds egg. Not sure what type, but that's something we can research. Had another play at the park (active) and a sunny picnic 😎 oh and we rescued the troll from our story last week 3 Billy goats gruff and a grumpy troll. It has been a super week. Good afternoon, adventurers!! What a week it's been. Hot, cold, windy and calm weather we have had this week. But that didn't stop us! The May nature card asked us to look out for cow parsley and hawthorn blossoms, which we found on our walks this week. 🌸
Our chosen theme to know more about came from one our adventurers, Cats 🐈. Great theme. We compared the Scottish wildcat with the domestic cat. Used our measuring tape to measure and cut out the length of the cats, stuck up on the fence so we could see clearly the difference in size. We found out the wildcats kittens are born with their eyes closed. Very interesting. We have been at the woods and beach exploring the environment around us. The path in the woods was uneven with the tree roots, pine cones and sticks. But this is great for our coordination, it gives us more natural walk, increases confidence and ease of movement, more muscle control and balance. The beach also offers this experience of negotiating of the rocks and pebbles and sand we walk on, with addition to big rocks for children to climb on and slide off, this enables them to risk assess and build confidence. (Active- covering 1 of our 8 wellbeing indicators)
Both these environments offer great unplanned learning and experiences.( RTA I need to experience stimulating and challenging play spaces outdoors and in.) Playing peekaboo behind the trees or covering the rocks, seaweed or ourselves is a fantastic enveloping schema exploring space and capacity. This can also cover our colouring of our wildcats or stone cats. (HSCS- 1.30 wellbeing - As a child, I have fun as I develop my skills in understanding, thinking, investigation and
problem solving.) (UNCRC article 27 children and young people should be able to live in a way that helps them reach their full physical, mental, spiritual, moral and social potential)

Hello Adventurers!
Our week celebrating our planet Earth. We have had adventures to the woods. Slowly exploring our woods, listening to the birds, and the buzzing of the bees 🐝 we've smelt wild garlic, touched softly the bluebells, hyacinths and saw the end of the daffodils. We painted beautiful creations with mud painting. We've recycled ♻️ plastics and cardboard. We made natural paint brushes and painted our kind to the planet art. (Responsible ☺️)
Our adventures also took us to the beach. We were eco warriors litter picking with our mini litter pickers. We were sad to notice lots of plastic tops, rope and even an old boots!! We splashed stones into the sea (trajectory). Saw the sea ebbing and flowing. Built up stones stacks (connection). Heard oyster catchers squawking and saw the eider ducks swimming. A lovely week spent on our planet earth 🌏 '(uncrc article 31 rest, play, leisure)'

Throughout our day we cover lots of learning. Focusing on a more child led- in the moment planning. Encourages slow learning. Flow... Deep play encourages creativity, social relationships, imagination, and overall well being. 👌

Day 1 of our seaside challenges. Build a sandcastle and make beautiful shell jewellery. 🐚 lots of beautiful sunshine walking to the links today. Also with a lot of harr! It did pass over eventually. The children were happy as anything. Getting involved in the challenges, setting up camp for the day and lots of playing. Great fun.

Dear fellow adventureres, sadly its the last day of our 30 days wild. Day 28 of our 30 days wild. The children and I have had a blast getting stuck in learning new things about our environment, taking care of our selves and how we can be kind in nature. Today we have taken part in nature bathing, cloud spotting, collecting nature to decorate our nature bags and Played games. The best part is we did it together spending time with each other in the great outdoors. We had time at the beach and at play park going with the child's Interests and flow of whatever we have been Immersed in. (Both children and I can get distracted very easily) hahaha 😆 the children were excited to receive their well earned badge forbthe 30 days wild too. That's it my fellow adventurers I am signing off for the weekend and see you on the other side. Next week is July can you believe it! Then onto our hoilday themes which I cannot wait to get into either. All outdoors whoooo. 😊

Day 27 of our 30 days wild. Our activity today was to either make nature crowns or a nature picture. The children made their beautiful nature frames. On our adventures we collected purple vetch, daisies, grasses and lots of natural fauna and flora. It was some of the children's last day taking part in the 30 days challenge today, they were super excited to take home their 30 days wild challenge badge. 🍃⚘️🌼🌸🏵🌻🌺

Day 26th of our 30 days wild challenge being kind in nature. So we watered our veg, strawberry patch. Also, watered our wildflower meadow and added our wildlife pond. Fabulous day to go on our adventure walk as well. With a stop at the play park. Lots of fun playing in garden with the mud kitchen, water trays and sand. Not to mention sorting out stones into flower pots. 😊
