Listen to the vibe in this video! 🎥 + 2 years of reflection. from starter to competitor
This past weekend, Josie placed 3rd in the Women’s Jams, 1st in the Under 13s within her group, and even dropped in from the extension! She looked brilliant, and we’re so stoked as coaches to see how far she’s come. ❤
Just 2 years ago today, Josie attended her very first Skate Starters session. After just two Skate Starters sessions, she was practising constantly in between, and a month later she joined our Herd Hustlers sessions.
Since then, it’s been amazing to watch her develop her skills, creativity and confidence, pushing her own limits, trying new things and helping represent and celebrate women and girls in skateboarding.
These are the moments that young people can carry with them for years to come. Learning their own skills, testing themselves, overcoming barriers, hearing the cheers from the crowd and earning the respect of their fellow skaters.
When we tell you that your child has a special talent or real potential in skateboarding, we genuinely mean it. It’s not just about becoming a better skater it’s about the confidence, resilience, creativity, friendships and life skills that can grow along the way.
Huge congratulations, Josie! 🐮🛹 Keep pushing, keep creating and most importantly, keep enjoying it!
And a massive well done to everyone who took part this weekend. ❤️
