🌱 We’re all set for Gardening Club this week! 🌼

Our planting station is stocked up and ready to go, with lots of new seeds, flowers, herbs and vegetables for the children to explore and grow. 🌿🪴

Gardening Club is a fantastic opportunity for children to get hands-on with nature, develop responsibility, learn where food comes from, and enjoy plenty of outdoor learning along the way.

We can’t wait to get planting and see what grows over the coming weeks! 🌻🍓🥕

A brilliant staff meeting spent reflecting on our practice and the experiences we create for children every day.

Together, we explored how our observations and interactions can deepen learning, and how small, intentional changes to our environments and approach can enhance play and curiosity even further.

It was a valuable opportunity to share ideas, celebrate what’s working well, and think about how we continue to grow as a team to support high-quality experiences for every child.

Rainy days just mean even more opportunities for cosy corners, messy play, imagination and discovery indoors ☔️✨

At our nursery we love exploring outdoors in all weathers, splashing in puddles, feeling the rain and embracing everything nature has to offer 🌧️ But when the weather brings us back inside, we create warm, inviting spaces full of wonder, creativity and opportunities to learn through play 💛

Today the nursery has been filled with wonderful invitations to play, sensory experiences, small world adventures and cosy spaces for children to explore at their own pace.

Today we’re celebrating 100 years of Sir David Attenborough 🌍🦋🌿

His love for nature reminds us just how important it is for children to explore the world around them — climbing, digging, bug hunting, splashing in puddles and finding wonder in the smallest things.

At nursery, we believe childhood should be filled with curiosity, awe and adventure outdoors 💚

“If children grow up not knowing about nature and appreciating it, they will not understand it. And if they don’t understand it, they won’t protect it.” — David Attenborough

Happy 100th Birthday from all of us at Thrive Banchory Riverview 🌎✨
