FOR SALE £20.
In my efforts to downsize my stuff I’m selling a couple of Ruth White back arches, one large and one small. Use them to open out the chest and improve spinal mobility. They can be made more comfortable with the addition of props under the head or bum. A single arch is about £50 new. I’m selling two for £20. Let me know if you’re interested, collection only x

Whenever I go into the forest I try to make time to stop and connect with a tree. This has become a practice and I often learn interesting things about myself.

I find a tree and approach it with respect. In my heart I’m asking permission to touch it. Even just the act of placing my hands on the tree can immediately show up my insecurities ‘is anyone around? Will they think I’m weird?’ So I stay with these thoughts for a while. Then I connect, I sense the roots of the tree going deep into the earth, I sense the energy flowing up the trunk reaching for the sky. Then I just wait and see what emerges.

Today’s lesson was ‘Dont be afraid. Be strong. Give as generously as you can just as a tree gives its fruit or gives shelter’

I love this simple practice. It really helps me to stop amidst a busy day. It allows me to briefly go beyond the non stop chatter of the mind. Maybe you have your own way of stopping? I think it’s important.❤️

More than anything else the practice of yin gives me space. Stops me from ‘doing’ and allows me to really arrive in my body. It helps me reduce tension which might otherwise have gone unattended to. It allows me time to breathe and soften.

Why do you go to a yoga class? What do you hope to accomplish (if anything)? What is YOUR why? And if you’ve been practicing a fair while, how does going along to a class help you?

Yoga classes restart next week.

Hi everyone, I offer a fairly wide range of yoga classes from very accessible chair yoga to slow and stretchy Yin yoga. I also offer a foundational Hatha yoga class with an emphasis on the standing poses and a more varied and slightly more challenging Hatha flow class.

We use the movements as a tool to tune into the body and calm mind and heart. I am passionate about giving participants space to slow down away from all our usual distractions.

All classes start on Tuesday 25th (with the exception of Wednesdays chair yoga which starts on September 2nd). You can book the whole termly block or come along as a drop-in.

Please message me for more info or read this to help decide which class is for you:

With my grand repertoire of 6 chords I managed to get three of them to fit this sweet little Plum Village tune! Such joy in singing. My holiday is nearly at an end and it’s been great to teach a bit less for a few weeks. It’s important to take a bit of time to recharge and maybe enjoy a change of scene.

Yoga classes resume on the 25th Aug
Tues 10-11 online chair yoga
Wed 10-11 chair yoga (starts 2nd Sept)
Wed 6.15-7.15 Yin yoga
Thurs 9.30-10.30 Hatha Foundations
Fri 9.30-10.30 Hatha Flow

Hello everyone! I hope this finds you well. As always for me, the summer break has flown by! I have enjoyed it though and managed a couple of wee trips away with family and friends. The Allotment hasn't been quite as productive as usual. I think it may have been a bit dry, however I am munching thou...
