Hello pattern cutters/upcyclers/refashioners, or even those just budding or aspiring to that....
Winter is nearly upon us, and so what we wear becomes more important. Layers, warmer, thicker fabrics etc.... what we have in the cupboard, wardrobe or drawers, and what we can make from what we already have. Trying not to keep buying 'new' is the really important thing now to save the earth's resources.
I have always naturally done that - I once made a pair of moccasin slipper/boots from an old sheepskin jacket someone gave me! I hated the jacket but loved the boots. I wore them until they had holes underneath...
I teach pattern cutting/ refashioning/designing/sewing and have done for about 25 years now, in colleges, universities, on BA and MA courses at Birmingham City University, University of Northampton, Ravensbourne University, and De Montfort University.
