Job Opportunity: Level 3 Early Years Educator (Term Time Only) one year contract - closing date 30th June 2026

Location: Bloxham Pre School, Tadmarton Road, Bloxham, Banbury OX15 4HP
Salary: Available on request
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.45 am to 3.15 pm
Start Date: 1 September 2026
Contract Type: Fixed-term, one-year contract, term time only
About Us: Bloxham Pre School is a small, well-established charity setting based on the same site as Bloxham Primary School. We share a purpose-built building with the school’s Reception class, helping to create a smooth transition for children moving into primary education. Having served the community for over 50 years, we are proud to provide high-quality early years education in a warm, nurturing environment.
In our most recent Ofsted inspection, in March 2025, we were rated GOOD, with OUTSTANDING for behaviour and attitudes.
The Role: We are looking for a warm, experienced, and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our dedicated team. This fixed-term, term-time-only role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young children’s learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as a Key Person, building strong relationships with children and their families
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities
• Support children’s development in line with the EYFS framework
• Work with colleagues to maintain a safe, stimulating environment
Requirements:
• A Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare, verified against the qualifications database
• Previous experience in an Early Years setting
• An enhanced DBS check, or a willingness to obtain one
• Two professional references

• Patience and empathy
• Strong communication skills
• The ability to work well as part of a team
• An independent and proactive approach
• Adaptability
