Brilliant feedback from NOSSP students at North Oxfordshire Academy, The Warriner School, Wykham Park Academy, The Cooper School, Blessed George Napier School & Chenderit School) who attended the Active Leaders course delivered by Cherwell District Council Youth Activators this summer - developing really valuable leadership skills and creating new connections.
Looking forward to seeing them all further supporting events and activities this year!

Whenever anyone asks 'What does NOSSP do?', it never feels like an easy question to answer.

Trying to succinctly convey the role we play, the connections we facilitate, the difference we make and reason we exist often alludes the team - and we all just resort to "it's kind of to do with PE", because that's easy for others to understand!

But NOSSP is so much more than PE. NOSSP is friendships and smiling faces, it's positive experiences and moving more, it's opportunity and belonging, and it's improving the physical and mental wellbeing of young people in North Oxfordshire - creating happy, healthy and active futures.

We needed to capture what makes NOSSP, NOSSP - so we've launched our new website. 💙

⚽️ Girls’ Football Wildcats – Returning Thursday 10th September! 🐾
Calling all girls aged 5–11! 💕⚽️

Banbury United F.C.’s Girls’ Football Wildcats sessions are returning, offering a fun, friendly and welcoming environment for young girls to get involved in football, build confidence, make friends and most importantly — enjoy the game!

Whether your daughter is brand new to football or already loves playing, these sessions are a great opportunity to get active and have fun.

📍 North Oxfordshire Academy, Drayton Road, Banbury, OX16 0UD
👧 Ages 5–11

School is nearly wrapped up, but there are plenty of opportunities to stay active and have fun with the over the summer break - find them at a park or play space near you!

Our gang are pretty special, and working with them to make a positive difference to the lives of Children & Young People in North Oxfordshire comes with challenges, but it comes with so many more rewards.

We are incredibly proud of the opportunities they provide, the support & guidance they give, the impact they have and the difference they make to the world of PE, School Sport, Physical Activity & Play and we will always work together to overcome the obstacles that come our way (unless it's to retrieve a frisbee from a tree surrounded by nettles - in those instances Dean is on his own whilst the rest of us support from afar!).

The team will look slightly different next year as we head towards NOSSP 3.0, but what won't change is the collaboration, support, positivity and humour that has always existed within 💙

Looking for something fun, active, and engaging for the kids this summer? Mark Andrews Football Coaching, offer a fantastic Summer Football Camp for boys and girls aged 4–12 of all abilities. It's a great opportunity to learn new football skills, build confidence, make friends, and enjoy an action-packed summer in a safe and supportive environment.

📅 Camp Dates:
⚽ Week 1: 27–31 July
⚽ Week 2: 3–7 August
⚽ Week 3: 10–14 August

📍 Christopher Rawlins School, Adderbury
🕙 10:00am–3:00pm (Drop-off from 9:30am)

💷 £25 per day or £100 for any 5 days (then just £18 per additional day).
