📚 Something new at Chasewell!

This year we’ve introduced six Core Texts – one special story for each term.

Rather than simply reading a story and moving on, we’ll explore each book again and again through stories, puppets, props, songs, sensory play and our wider provision.

Repetition is so powerful in the early years. It helps children build language, vocabulary, confidence, memory and early literacy skills – until eventually they can proudly say…

“I know this story!” ❤️📖

We can’t wait to see where our six stories take us this year!

⭐️ Summer party ⭐️

Tomorrow is our Graduation & Summer Party for all current children who attend

9:30-11am

We will also be running some fundraising events during the party to help with updating and doing up the garden area! - Bottle Tombola, raffle with some amazing prizes and vouchers that have been kindly donating and a guess the name of the dog!

🌿 What an Amazing Start! Thank You! 🌿

Yesterday, some of our wonderful children, staff and committee members spent the morning at Sainsbury's raising funds for our exciting garden renovation project.

We are delighted to share that, thanks to the incredible generosity of our local community, we raised an amazing £140.50! 🎉💚

While we still have a long way to go, we're hoping to raise over £25,000 to completely transform our outdoor environment—every single donation, no matter how big or small, makes a real difference.

Yesterday's total is a fantastic start, and we're so grateful to everyone who supported us.

As a small local charity, projects like this are only possible because of the kindness of our community. Together, we're creating an inspiring outdoor space where children can explore, take risks, develop their confidence and create lifelong memories.

Imagine you run a sandwich shop.

Let's say it costs you £1 to make a sandwich and you charge customers £1.10 per sandwich to make a profit to reinvest into your business.

Now imagine that one day, the government announces that it's going to pay for two free sandwiches a week for all working adults (in a bid to win votes).

The problem is they are only willing to pay sandwich shops like you 50p per sandwich to meet this promise. That's 50p less than it costs you to make them and 60p less than you normally charge for them.

Over the course of a year, this could result in your business losing thousands of pounds.
