It’s been so lovely welcoming everyone back to Bloxham and seeing the school come alive again!

From settling into a new school and meeting new people, to getting stuck into activities, boarding and everything else school life has to offer, there’s already been so much going on.

Hear from some of our Sixth Form and Exham pupils as they share what the start of term has been like for them and what they’ve enjoyed so far.

We’re looking forward to everything the term ahead has in store and can’t wait to share more of it with you! ✨

As we look forward to welcoming everyone back to Bloxham soon, we’re excited to introduce our Prefect Team for the 2026–27 academic year.

A huge congratulations to our new School Captains, Harry and Nina, who will lead the prefect team throughout the year.

Harry shares:
“I am really pleased to be appointed as School Captain for the next academic year and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to represent the school in this way. I’m excited to work alongside the new prefect team, and I hope to continue the work of the previous School Captains, Rory and Alice.”

Nina adds:
“I am incredibly honoured to have been appointed School Captain for the next academic year. I look forward to working alongside Harry and the prefect team to make a positive impact and give back to the school that has given me so much.”

A massive thank you to our outgoing prefects, and our previous School Captains, Rory and Alice, for all their hard work, commitment and leadership throughout the year.

We’re looking forward to sharing more about our new prefects, their roles and their plans for the year in the months ahead.

A huge congratulations to all of our pupils who received their GCSE results today! 🎉

Paul Sanderson, Headmaster, comments:

“I am delighted for our Bloxham students and the outstanding GCSE results they have achieved this year. The results have yet again seen an annual increase in our pupils achieving the very top grades. These results are a testament to the pupils' hard work, determination and ambition, supported by the dedication of our staff and the encouragement of their families.

At Bloxham, in addition to excellent examination results, our students have embraced a genuinely holistic education, making the most of opportunities across the wider curriculum, from sport and music to the arts, co-curricular activities and service.

These brilliant results are a wonderful reflection of students who have worked hard, contributed fully to school life and grown into young people to be proud of.”

It’s fantastic to see another year of brilliant outcomes for our pupils, and we’re looking forward to welcoming them back after the summer as they begin the next chapter of their journey in Sixth Form at Bloxham.

Celebrating another excellent set of Post 16 results at Bloxham School!

We are delighted with a 99.7% pass rate, 44% of grades at A/A*, and an outstanding 91% of BTEC grades at Distinction or Distinction*. Most pupils are heading to the university of their choice, alongside others securing degree apprenticeships and places at some of the very best arts colleges in the UK.

Above all, we are proud of every pupil, whatever their results and wherever their next step takes them.

As our Headmaster said: “These qualifications are among the finest, but a Bloxham education is about far more than academic success… Whatever path they now choose, I hope they will carry with them the values, friendships and experiences of Bloxham, and know that they will always remain part of our community.”

Congratulations to every one of our pupils.

A fantastic evening yesterday exploring The Future of Careers in Sport at Bloxham School. 🏆

We were delighted to welcome pupils, parents, Old Bloxhamists and friends of the school for an inspiring evening focused on the many opportunities available within the sports industry. The event brought together an exceptional panel of speakers whose careers span journalism, rugby, international sport, motorsport and horse racing.

Our panel included Tim Abraham (Eg/Sy 78–82), sports journalist and broadcaster; Hayley Powell (Nunnelly, Ry 08–10), Strategy Lead for the Women’s Game at the RFU; Henry Hodgson (Current Parent), General Manager of the NFL UK & Ireland; Richard Tuthill, motorsport entrepreneur and engineer; and Charlie Longsdon (Current Parent), leading National Hunt racehorse trainer.

Throughout the evening, the panel shared honest reflections on their career journeys, the challenges they have faced, and the skills and experiences that have helped them succeed. They also discussed how careers in sport are evolving and offered valuable advice to those looking to build a future in the industry.

One of the highlights of the evening was the networking session that followed, giving students the opportunity to continue conversations with the panel and other guests, ask questions and gain first hand insight into a wide range of careers. It was fantastic to see so many engaging discussions taking place and to watch our students making the most of the opportunity to learn from professionals working at the highest levels of sport.

A huge thank you to Tim, Hayley, Henry, Richard and Charlie for generously giving up their time to support the event. Your insights, honesty and encouragement made a real impact.

On Thursday, we welcomed 26 professionals from a wide range of industries to Bloxham School for our annual Future Leaders' Forum.

Throughout the morning, 115 students had the opportunity to interview business leaders and explore one of the biggest topics facing the world of work today: artificial intelligence. The discussions focused on how AI is changing different industries and the skills young people will need as they prepare for their future careers.

It was fantastic to see students asking such thoughtful questions and engaging so confidently with experienced professionals. The event gave them a valuable insight into how AI is already shaping the workplace and the opportunities and challenges it presents.

A huge thank you to all of our speakers for taking the time to join us and share their experiences. We are incredibly grateful for your support and willingness to answer so many questions. It was a fascinating and valuable morning for our students, and they came away with a much greater understanding of how AI is impacting the professional world.
