PGL26: last morning of the best week ever!

PGL – Our Final Morning! 🧳❤️

How has our final morning arrived already?!

Incredibly, a few rooms were up, packed and completely ready to move out this morning – meaning the water gun was barely required. A fantastic achievement for the children… although perhaps slightly disappointing for Mr Connor!

With bags packed and rooms cleared, we have two final activities to enjoy before heading home: climbing and orienteering. After everything the children have achieved this week, we’re going to see if we can squeeze just a little more perseverance, resilience and teamwork out of them before lunch!

It really has been a fabulous week. We have watched the children challenge themselves, overcome nerves, encourage their friends, laugh together and create memories that we hope will stay with them for a very long time.

Most importantly, The Grange Way has truly shone here at Osmington Bay. We could not be prouder of the way the children have represented themselves and our school throughout the week. They have been an absolute credit to The Grange. ❤️

After our final activities and lunch, it will be time to begin the journey back to school – no doubt with plenty of tired children and lots of stories to tell!

PGL – End of Day 4

What a day!

We have had an absolute blast today, and the children have made so many fantastic memories. They have continued to throw themselves into every activity, pushing themselves outside their comfort zones, encouraging their friends and showing just how much confidence and resilience they have developed over the week.

This evening, we came together for a lovely campfire, complete with some extremely catchy songs and, of course, toasted marshmallows. Some were roasted to perfection… while a few others were perhaps a little closer to charcoal!

The children have been in such high spirits all evening, and it has been lovely seeing them enjoying their final night together at PGL. After four incredibly busy days, we have a feeling there won’t be too many problems getting everyone to sleep tonight!

Tomorrow marks our final day, with two last activities to squeeze in during the morning before we begin our journey home.

There is, however, one final challenge standing between us and those activities… packing! 😬🧳 We’re keeping everything crossed that everyone suddenly discovers previously unseen levels of speed, organisation and efficiency tomorrow morning!

It’s hard to believe our residential is nearly over. The children have been absolutely fantastic, and we are incredibly proud of the way they have embraced every part of the experience.
