Banbury BID's Advent Windows: Joy, Creativity, and a Trophy for Child First!

The 24 magical windows have closed, but the festive twinkle lives on! Banbury BID's Advent Windows 2023 concluded just before Christmas, leaving behind a trail of community spirit and artistic triumph. This year, 24 enchanting displays transformed the town centre, each a testament to local creativity and holiday cheer.

But one window outshone them all: Child First, with their captivating scene, captured the hearts (and votes) of the community! Their victory, a testament to their dedication and artistry, was celebrated with a gleaming trophy.

Sharing their joy, Child First exclaimed:

"The preschoolers cheered! Winning made them feel happy and excited. It was such a fun community event!"

Jasmine Gilhooly, Strategist for Banbury BID, expressed heartfelt gratitude:

"We're overwhelmed by the participation! You made our town shine brighter, fostering a sense of togetherness and community spirit."

This wasn't just a competition; it was a celebration. Shoppers embraced the spirit, exploring each window and voting for their favorites. The response showcased the power of collective joy and supporting local businesses.

Last week one of our lovely parents visited both our Sweetpeas and Preschool room to talk about her job as a dentist and the importance of brushing your teeth. The children were able to use toothbrushes on the model teeth and were encouraged to brush right to the back. They also spoke about what happens to the teeth when we eat different foods and at different times of the day.

Free Family Valentine Photoshoot on Saturday 10th February from 10am until 1pm.

Valentines themed activities will be available to explore within the nursery and staff will be available to offer tours of the nursery too.
