🇪🇸 Dreaming of sunnier days!

Back to reality, cooler temperatures and the usual school routine, but we’re still reminiscing about our fantastic week on the Costa del Sol!

From castles and cable cars to boat trips, water parks, pool time and plenty of Spanish sunshine, we certainly packed a lot into five days!

Lots of laughter, new friendships, unforgettable moments and memories we’ll be talking about for a long time.

One last look back at Spain 2026. What a week, what a group and what an adventure!

🇪🇸 Día 5 – One Last Adventure Before Adiós!

An early start for our final day in Spain, and we certainly made the most of it!

We headed into Málaga for a boat tour, enjoying a different view of this beautiful city from the sea! After lunch and a final wander through the streets, we stepped back in time with a visit to the Roman Theatre before making one last dash up to Gibralfaro for a final group photo.

And just like that, our Spanish adventure has come to an end!

Five days of sunshine, laughter, new experiences and wonderful memories. What a fantastic bunch of students we’ve had the pleasure of travelling with. They’ve been a credit to themselves, their families and our school.

Now it’s off to the airport and back to reality!

¡Adiós España! You’ve been brilliant!

🇪🇸 Día 4 – Splashes, Slides & Suitcases!

Our last full day in sunny Spain, and what a way to spend it!

We headed to Aqualand in Torremolinos for a fantastic day of water slides, splashes, sunshine and plenty of laughs!

After dinner, we enjoyed one final evening stroll along the promenade before heading back to pack our cases, ready for the journey home tomorrow.

Where has the week gone? It feels like we’ve only just arrived!

Four days of sunshine, adventures, laughter and memories that will last long after the tans have faded.

One more sleep before we say ¡adiós España!

🇪🇸 Día 3 – Castles, Cable Cars & Costa del Sol!

Another fabulous day in sunny Spain!

First stop was the stunning Castillo de Colomares, before heading off for a cable car adventure high above Benalmádena! Spectacular views, plenty of photo opportunities and a few nervous faces as we made our way to the top!

Back to the hotel for some well-earned pool time before rounding off the day with a lovely evening stroll along the beach.

Sunshine, smiles and lots more memories made. Another brilliant day with a fantastic bunch of students!

A big thank you to Home Instead, a home care service in Banbridge, for visiting our Year 13 and 14 Health and Social Care students last week. It was a valuable opportunity to learn about their work and how they support people in their own homes. Each student also received a goodie bag—thank you for your generosity! 🏡👏

The Food & Nutrition Department were delighted to welcome the LMC into school this week to demonstrate cooking some delicious dishes for our Year 10 & Year 11 pupils 🍽️

🌾 Harvest Assembly at Banbridge High School 🍂

This morning, we came together for our annual Harvest Assembly, a special and important moment in the school calendar to reflect on how much we have to be thankful for and how we can share kindness, generosity and gratitude with others. 💛

Our assembly celebrated the many talents and successes of our students, with a wonderful range of musical performances and opportunities to showcase the achievements that make our school community so special. 🎶👏

Harvest reminds us of the importance of appreciating what we have, looking out for one another and recognising the difference that even the smallest act of kindness can make.

A heartfelt thank you to all our students and staff who contributed to such a meaningful and uplifting assembly. 🌻
A huge thank you also goes to Rev Willie Nixon and Ava from Holy Trinity who attended and shared key messages with us.

Come and explore a fantastic range of books at our ‘Travelling Books’ Book Fair! We have lots of exciting new titles and genres for your to discover. Cash is preferred for purchases. Students may come to browse books on offer every lunchtime via the English stairs until Friday 23rd October. See you there!

Banbridge High School Year 9 pupil, Brody McGarry had another very successful season with Tandragee Golf Club - 7 weekly wins, 3 runner up’s, Masters Champion cup and to top it off Golfer of the Year cup..
