Sinéad Lunny (LLB, ACIM, ANEA Public Speaking, ANEA Acting) is passionate about Speech and Drama. In August 2022, she won an Excellence award in the Lead Actress category at Women's International Film Festival in Delaware, USA. In recent years, New Era Academy awarded her the Ray Cooney prize for the highest mark globally in a Gold Medal exam. Good morning folks!

Given the success of our showcases last term for our face-to-face students, next week at our studio, we will be running showcases for our *online* Monday 6.30-7.30, Tuesday 6.30-7.30 and Wednesday 6.30-7.30 classes.

Parents should have received a WhatsApp about this. Please contact us if you haven't.

It will be so lovely for the children to see each other face to face and perform on the stage in front of a live audience.

There will be light refreshments and we will be collecting donations for our charity of the year.

Many thanks!

Another day, another pending closing date!

Warrenpoint Feis takes place 11-22 March 2024 with entry fees to us by 11 December. Because we are so busy at the moment, unfortunately we cannot accept any late entries.

Click on link below to check out syllabus. Most classes are £2 but 13 years upwards is £2.50.

Please WhatsApp us if you'd like to enter and we will send bulk entries.

Many thanks!

It has been a hectic time for us of late.

Speech and Drama is only a small part of what we do.

Vocalis is the corporate side of our business.

Months of planning and preparation have gone into this fabulous event and every Sunday evening since September has been spent delivering speaking training to 12 marvellous young women.

Check out Belfast Telegraph for an article all about it this Thursday 7th December.

The Future Starts Now...

This Saturday 9th December, 12 young women from diverse backgrounds in NI will deliver a self-penned speech in the historic Stormont House.

The topic? Their vision for Northern Ireland in 2048.

The event will be live-streamed before a select audience of parents, head teachers, sponsors and politicians.

One of the best projects we have ever been involved in. Beyond proud to collaborate with 4Voices SistersIN and McCann VA

Check out Belfast Telegraph this Thursday 7th December for an article all about it.

Our annual New Era Academy exam day will be Saturday 15th June 2024 at Banbridge Parish Centre.

Some of our newer students will be doing Ulster Academy of Speech & Drama exams so we will confirm that date and details as soon as we can.

We will be starting to look at exam work in January.

Six years ago, J McCourt Furniture Banbridge engaged me to devise something creative for their business.

18k views later, it still gets me in the festive spirit.

Hard to believe that this was 4 years ago when several of our lovely students and families (including my own family😊) became local TV superstars!😂

Who can you spot? Tag away!

Thanks again to Whitenoise Studios and Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council.

Thanks also to Katriona and for dressing some of the cast members so beautifully.

Oliver's classmates were delighted to welcome the Banbridge Festival "Champion of Champions" back to class today!

Look at the size of that shield!😄😄🌟🌟

Since September, we have had the great fortune of being assisted in some of our busier classes by sixth form students from local schools including New-Bridge Integrated College Sacred Heart Grammar School and St. Patrick's College Banbridge.

Rachel, Clara, Gemma, Tara, Lucy and Jake are all amazing and the children just adore them!

We are now seeking a teaching assistant to join our team for our Wednesday 3.15-4.15 class. It may be best suited to a St Patrick's student as our studio is so close to their school but applications are open to all local 6th formers.

If you are interested or know someone who might be, please share this post and get in touch!

Many of our teaching assistants are doing the Duke of Edinburgh award or the Pope John Paul The Second award. Helping out at our classes is great for your CV if you're interested in volunteering, working with children, teaching or the dramatic arts!

Many thanks

What a beautiful bride our Nicola was last Thursday! And Peter makes a very handsome groom!

Nicola was delighted with all of your lovely cards and presents and is so grateful.

Happy honeymoon Nicola and we will see you in January! Welcome letter will be sent before that.

PS if any of Nicola’s students (or indeed mine!) wish to enter Portadown Speech & Drama Festival (21st February - 1st March 2024), please WhatsApp me to ensure that your name is down and £3.50 per category is paid before 1st December. Age of child is at 1st January 2024. Thank you!

Just a reminder as per your welcome letter that there are NO MONDAY classes today, either face-to-face or online!

I am delivering Vocalis training to the teachers of St Paul's Bessbrook today which is always a brilliant day!

Sinéad's classes resume tomorrow (Tuesday) with Portadown Speech & Drama Festival (fees £3.50 per category due by this Friday 1st December.)

Nicola's classes will resume in January.

Thank you!

Awful news tonight. The end of an era. A wonderful mentor and friend who was texting me only a few days ago. What an absolute lady. The festival will never be the same. Condolences to Norman and the whole family circle.

It is with heartfelt sympathy and broken hearts that we have learnt tonight of the death of our beloved colleague and friend, Eileen Johnston.

Eileen was associated with the festival for over 40 years firstly as a parent, a volunteer and then a committee member. She will be sorely missed and fondly remembered.

Congratulations to Daniel who was second in Boys 12-13 set poem!🌟🌟
