The hall is all decorated for the Halloween disco tomorrow 馃拃馃巸馃懟

We hope everyone had been practising their dance moves at home 猸愶笍

P2 are featured in The Banbridge Chronicle this week. Looks like they all had fun! 馃殰

THE P2 classes in Edenderry Primary School have been enjoying their new topic 'Wheels, Wings and Other Things.'
As part of the topic, there were visitors into school to see different forms of transport.
On Wednesday, October 18, P2 got to see and ask questions about the visiting police car, rally car and tractor.
Edenderry PS would like to thank the Police Service, the Spence and McElherron families who very kindly took time out of their busy schedules to visit.
They helped to provide a fantastic learning experience for the children in the Primary 2 classes.

馃巸Halloween Disco馃拃

We didn鈥檛 think we would be able to organise a disco this year with a lot of DJs already booked but GREAT NEWS a parent has volunteered to run it on Friday for us. There is no extra cost for this.

A big thank you to Downshire Arms Hotel for lending us a speaker at the last minute.

Tell the kids to get their dancing shoes ready!

Just a note about the congestion expected tomorrow afternoon at collection time.

This might be useful info for P7 parents in November

馃挜 What To Bring / Not To Bring 馃挜

As a busy parent, it's easy to miss the details so just taking a moment to consolidate and make sure everyone knows that they need to bring, what they can bring and what the assessment centre will provide.

馃 Parents To Bring:
馃搶 Pupil ID Card - printed is best, and when you're printing it, print a few so you have backups.
馃搶 The child can bring a highlighter to use on the question paper only (not the answer sheet).

馃 The Assessment Centre Will Provide
馃搶 Pencils (the best type for the answer sheet)
馃搶 Rubber (in case the child makes a mistake)
馃搶 Water for the child
馃搶 Spare paper - if child requires more they just need to raise their hand
馃搶 There will be a clock in the room for the child to monitor their progress and they'll be told exactly what time the test will finish.

If your child is doing the test this year, and you're looking for some last minute practice, check out The Transfer Tutor with thousands of questions across thirty topics in English and maths, so the perfect for honing in on challenging topics at this stage.

This year for Halloween we have a spooky colouring competition for everyone to enter. Pages will be sent home with the kids and must be returned by Thursday 26th October to be in with a chance of winning a prize!

Cat colouring competition for P1-P3
Pumpkin design competition for P4-P7

Friday 27th October is FANCY DRESS for everyone. Please no scary costumes or face paints.

It is 拢2 to enter the competition and come in fancy dress. Payment is made via the Edu spot app before TUE 24th October.

A big congratulations to Arnold, who not only coaches at Banbridge Academy but coaches the kids table tennis at Edenderry. What an achievement 馃帀

Make sure to check your letter/email to see which day you have been invited on.

馃挜 Anyone for Banbridge Academy? 馃コ

There will be two Familiarisation Days and different parents will be invited to each session so keep an eye out for your invite:
馃搶Monday 23rd October and
馃搶 Tuesday 24th October.

It鈥檚 a great opportunity to see the school, the room where they will sit their test and meet the invigilators who鈥檒l be there during the actual test days, so well worth the visit.

馃挕If you can鈥檛 make your Familisation Day, you could consider sending a friend, partner, grandparent or even send your child along with their mate鈥檚 mum. 馃槈 It鈥檚 a good experience for the child and will help them settle any nerves if they have the foresight of seeing the room etc.

Also, if you are sitting the tests and fancy a bit more focused learning, check out The Transfer Tutor which supports focused learning, so if your child is great at maths but needs a bit more focus on English, it works well. 馃憤
