The hall is all decorated for the Halloween disco tomorrow 💀🎃👻

We hope everyone had been practising their dance moves at home ⭐️

P2 are featured in The Banbridge Chronicle this week. Looks like they all had fun! 🚜

THE P2 classes in Edenderry Primary School have been enjoying their new topic 'Wheels, Wings and Other Things.'
As part of the topic, there were visitors into school to see different forms of transport.
On Wednesday, October 18, P2 got to see and ask questions about the visiting police car, rally car and tractor.
Edenderry PS would like to thank the Police Service, the Spence and McElherron families who very kindly took time out of their busy schedules to visit.
They helped to provide a fantastic learning experience for the children in the Primary 2 classes.

🎃Halloween Disco💀

We didn’t think we would be able to organise a disco this year with a lot of DJs already booked but GREAT NEWS a parent has volunteered to run it on Friday for us. There is no extra cost for this.

A big thank you to Downshire Arms Hotel for lending us a speaker at the last minute.

Tell the kids to get their dancing shoes ready!

Just a note about the congestion expected tomorrow afternoon at collection time.

This might be useful info for P7 parents in November

💥 What To Bring / Not To Bring 💥

As a busy parent, it's easy to miss the details so just taking a moment to consolidate and make sure everyone knows that they need to bring, what they can bring and what the assessment centre will provide.

🤜 Parents To Bring:
📌 Pupil ID Card - printed is best, and when you're printing it, print a few so you have backups.
📌 The child can bring a highlighter to use on the question paper only (not the answer sheet).

🤜 The Assessment Centre Will Provide
📌 Pencils (the best type for the answer sheet)
📌 Rubber (in case the child makes a mistake)
📌 Water for the child
📌 Spare paper - if child requires more they just need to raise their hand
📌 There will be a clock in the room for the child to monitor their progress and they'll be told exactly what time the test will finish.

If your child is doing the test this year, and you're looking for some last minute practice, check out The Transfer Tutor with thousands of questions across thirty topics in English and maths, so the perfect for honing in on challenging topics at this stage.

A big congratulations to Arnold, who not only coaches at Banbridge Academy but coaches the kids table tennis at Edenderry. What an achievement 🎉

12/10/2023

Make sure to check your letter/email to see which day you have been invited on.

💥 Anyone for Banbridge Academy? 🥳

There will be two Familiarisation Days and different parents will be invited to each session so keep an eye out for your invite:
📌Monday 23rd October and
📌 Tuesday 24th October.

It’s a great opportunity to see the school, the room where they will sit their test and meet the invigilators who’ll be there during the actual test days, so well worth the visit.

💡If you can’t make your Familisation Day, you could consider sending a friend, partner, grandparent or even send your child along with their mate’s mum. 😉 It’s a good experience for the child and will help them settle any nerves if they have the foresight of seeing the room etc.

Also, if you are sitting the tests and fancy a bit more focused learning, check out The Transfer Tutor which supports focused learning, so if your child is great at maths but needs a bit more focus on English, it works well. 👍

A very deserving send off for a great bunch of kids yesterday.

Goodbye and best wishes to all our P7 Leavers as they move on to pastures new.

🎉⭐️🎉⭐️🎉

27/06/2023

Friends of Edenderry wanted to acknowledge the Primary 7 helpers who are there waiting at the gates each morning to walk the P1 & P2 children into school.

Such great friendships have been formed between Ava, Sarah, Izzy and Zoe with all the little ones…and plenty of smiles, laughter and conversations going on.

We hope the girls enjoy their Oggies Dessert Bar voucher as they will all be missed when they head off to their new schools. Good luck girls!

Friends of Edenderry provided the DJ, selfie props, banner and balloon arch. A big thank you to the P7 parents who helped organised the event along with providing the food and drinks.

The showstopper was definitely the homemade cake baked by parent Sarinda Campbell…how amazing!

Last night was a massive success and hopefully the parents next year will keep this new tradition going. 🤞🏻 We hope the kids all had a blast 🎉
