One of the great things about home barista classes is using all of the different machines and grinders that people choose:
*Sage Barista Express Impress*
Everything you need in a compact package
Pros
✅ Great value for money.
✅ Compact - doesn't take up excess kitchen space.
Cons
❌ Has its limitations if you want to get amazing espresso.
❌ The 'impress' tamping feature is great for ease but lacks a bit of consistency.
*Gaggia Classic and DF64*
Good starter combo
Pros
✅ Gaggia Classic is very mod-able (add features to make it better).
✅ DF64 is a decent value espresso and filter grinder of you drink both styles of coffee.
Cons
❌ Gaggia Classic is a single boiler machine with a bit of a tricky switch between coffee and steam.
❌ The espresso range on the grinder can need tiny tiny movements to get the desired setting.
*Lelit Elizabeth*
Decent value dual boiler machine
Pros
✅ Paired with the right grinder can make excellent espresso.
✅ Dual boiler gives good power on the steam wand.
Cons
❌ Strangely sub-par steam control k**b compared to rest of the machine.
❌ Tricky water tank refilling.
*Ninja Luxe Cafe*
Good alternative to the popular Sage machines
Pros
✅ Many options of ways to make different drinks.
✅ Has a useful recommended grind setting feature for inexperienced baristas.
Cons
❌ Bulky compared to some other similar options.
❌ Hard to navigate menu to access simple features.
There are loads of options of coffee machines and grinders but a little bit of research can help you find the best one for you.
