The preschoolers spent the morning at Seaforde Tropical Butterfly House after learning all about lifecycles 🦋

We got a talk on the types of butterflies within the house and walked around to see what we could spot. We then went to the tropical section and seen the birds, turtles and mini beasts 🦜🐌
Afterwards, we headed to the gardens and were absolutely delighted that we managed to complete the maze!
We finished off the day with snack and a play in the park to use up the last of our energy ☀️

Our children had the wonderful experience of witnessing the lifecycle of a butterfly as part of our lifecycles topic last month🦋

We started with tiny caterpillars and the children loved watching them grow bigger each day before spinning their cocoons. After waiting very patiently, the butterflies finally began to emerge — and some of the children were even lucky enough to witness this magical moment happen right before their eyes! ✨

To finish our butterfly journey, we took them outside and watched as they spread their wings and flew away. It was such a special experience for the children and a lovely way to bring our learning to life 💛

The sun was shining for our Preschool Sports Day today and what a day we had ☀️

The preschoolers got to showcase all of their skills with a running race, hurdle race, egg and spoon and sack race 🏃‍♂️

Of course, we had to be the mums, dads and siblings involved too! Well done to Claire and Shane who won the mums and dads races, and to Anna for winning the siblings race ⭐️

Thank you all so much for coming today to celebrate all of the boys and girls and their achievements so far 💛

🪲🐞 Minibeast Adventures! 🐛🕷️

This month, our preschoolers have been busy learning all about minibeasts!

We started indoors, exploring with messy play trays and getting creative with lots of fun art activities inspired by the tiny creatures around us. Then it was time to take our learning outside, where the children became real little explorers—searching high and low to see what they could find!

We discovered 11 different types of bugs, including an ants nest, but the clear favourite had to be the lovely little ladybird 🐞💛

🌿✨ Forest School Fun at Spa Woods Forest School✨🌿

Today the children enjoyed their second visit to Spa Forest School 🌲

They had great fun cooking up some “delicious” creations in the mud kitchen, digging and exploring in the dig pit, and burning off lots of energy on the swings and slide!

To top it all off, the children planted their very own peas to take home — we can’t wait to hear how they grow! 🌱

We finished the day the way we always do at Spa… gathered around the fire, toasting marshmallows 🔥
