Thinking of ways to fill those long summer evenings? All you need is some cardboard, a pen and the great outdoors!

Here we created a nature suitcase to collect treasures in our garden. This can be done in any environment, be it the beach, Forest, park, garden or even on the way to school!

A brilliant way to get children extending their descriptive vocabulary.

If you go down to the woods today….

We had a wonderful time at our annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic last week!

We ate a yummy picnic with our teddies from home, found Mrs Magee’s lost teddies in the garden, played duck duck goose, played parachute games and used our new bubble machine!

May was full of hands on learning about mini beasts! We had great fun on rainy and sunny days finding different bugs. The snails and worms were a particular hit! Many thanks to for bringing the mini beasts in to see us!

One potato, two potato, three potato four 🥔 🥔 🥔 🥔

We have been using vegetables in the garden for lots of counting opportunities whilst playing. We are practising our forward number word sequences, one to one correspondence, cardinal number and recognising an amount without counting them (Subitising). Such a natural way to get counting into play with your child, why not try at home!

Collaborative art for Easter. Working together to create a beautiful spring time collage.

We used yellow for daffodils, purple for tulips, cotton wool for rabbits tails and feathers for baby chicks!

We will use our collage to make Easter Charles’s next week 🐣🐰🌷🌸🌼
