Year 1 explored our Foundation Stage Playground. We played on the bikes, explored sand and water, practiced bouncing balls and created structures with our large blocks. A great end to our first week.

In our final assembly of the school year, we had the pleasure of celebrating two special members of our staff team as we marked the retirements of both Mrs Murphy and Mrs Waide.

Mrs Murphy began her teaching career at Ballymoney Model on 13th June 1988 and, over the past three decades, has taught and inspired a significant number of pupils. Her kindness, care and commitment have made a lasting impact on generations of children and families throughout her remarkable thirty-eight years of service.

Mrs Waide retired this year after twenty-two years of dedicated service as a SEN Classroom Assistant. Throughout her career, she has supported and encouraged countless pupils, particularly within our Speech and Language classroom, making a real difference to the lives of the children in her care.

As Mrs Murphy and Mrs Waide begin this new chapter, we thank them both for the invaluable contribution they have made to Ballymoney Model Integrated Primary School.

Their dedication, care and support have touched the lives of so many children, families and colleagues, and they will always remain valued members of the Ballymoney Model family.

We wish them both a retirement filled with happiness, good health, new adventures, and many well-deserved opportunities to relax and enjoy time with family and friends.

🏈Coleraine Grammar School - Primary School Outreach Programme - End of Year Finale🏈

Coleraine Grammar School have just finished it’s second year of outreach programme, engaging with local primary schools across the region offering rugby coaching and games to all pupils in P6/P7. Ballymoney Model Integrated Primary School have being participating since 2024/2025 term.
In total 12 primary schools were involved this year in the outreach programme with over 500 P6/P7 pupils having experienced coaching and game play with Kieran Campbell, Director of Rugby CGS.
Out of the 12 schools, 19 pupils were selected to represent the outreach programmes at yesterday’s tournament.
✨Matthew McDonagh was selected from Ballymoney Model Integrated P.S. All the boys and girls did excellent and had a great time at the home of Ulster Rugby. 🏈

Ulster Museum
After an interesting start to the day, Year 6 travelled to Belfast for a visit to the Ulster Museum. Their museum guide was extremely knowledgeable about Ancient Egypt and brought history to life by allowing pupils to handle artefacts and ask thoughtful questions about the time period.🏜️
Pupils also enjoyed exploring the museum’s wider exhibits, taking in a range of fascinating displays. The day ended on a high note with a sunny run around Botanic Gardens, rounding off a memorable and enjoyable trip.

🐮🐷Causeway Fun 🐷🐮
Year 1 visited Causeway Fun Farm on Monday 22nd June. They had a great day on the farm - having a pony ride, riding on the back of the tractor and finding out all about the animals on the farm.
