Afterschool running club came to an end today.
Mr O'Boyle was very impressed with the effort from all the children.

Potato Planting 🌱

Today was potato planting day as part of the Grow Your Own Potatoes initiative.

We thoroughly enjoyed getting our hands dirty whilst learning how to grow our own food.

As part of our 'Hunger' topic, we have been learning about the Irish Famine and the failure of the potato crop.

We can't wait to harvest our potaoes in June. Which class will grow the most potatoes?

World Book Day

During World Book Day, our pupils enjoyed a range of ICT activities.

Rec, P1, P2&3, took part in a live World Book Day story and draw along with Libraries NI

P3/4 tuned into the Just2easy World Book Day Live Lesson. They used the mix tab where they had to create their own book cover based on their favourite book.

P5, 6 and 7 animated book characters and created top trump cards using Adobe Express

Headteacher's Award ✨️

It doesn't happen very often but this boy did the double today! Not only did he receive a STAR Award from one of our teachers, he also received the Headteacher's Award from Mr O'Boyle.

What an incredible achievement that shows just how wonderful this young man is. You should be so proud of yourself!

You display such a positive attitude, you are always kind and respectful and you give your best at all times!

Friday Awards ✨️

We love giving out the STAR Awards on a Friday at assembly to celebrate our pupils who have really shone this week.

Well done everyone for showing diligence, sharing, helping others, asking questions to help with your learning and having a really positive attitude to your work. 👏

Congratulations to our pupils who shared their outside achievements. They have had great success in Irish Dancing and Martial Arts.

Finally, one of our P5 girls treated us to a recital of her poem from a recent speech and drama exam. It was tremendous!
