Meet Rebecca!

Introducing Rebecca McMullan

Rebecca joins the SUNI Staff Team this morning as the Schools Worker for Ballymena.

Rebecca is from Ballymena and has recently graduated from Stranmillis with a degree in Primary Education. She is humbled and excited by the opportunity to serve God and make His Good News known in Ballymena schools this year as she covers Eve’s Maternity Leave.

Please pray for Rebecca as she takes up this new role and gets to grips with all that being a Schools Worker entails!

September is a significant time for children, young people and their families as they start or return to school, college or university. For many of us, it's also an opportunity for a fresh start as we seek to be salt and light in the places God has called us.

Later next month, Rebecca McMullan will be taking up the role of Ballymena Schools Worker (more of an introduction to come)

Rachel, Rebecca and I are so thankful for the roles God has called us to in Ballymena and for those who have played a part in what He is doing here. God has been faithful in each season and this week marks the start of a new season as I finish for maternity leave and hand over to Rebecca who starts next month.

Thank you for your prayers, support and encouragement and we would really appreciate these as we move into a new season as a family of three. Pray for Rebecca as she starts at the end of August and that God would continue to use us in this incredible area.

Have a read at these stats and be encouraged, what an incredible privilege to have loved and engaged with over 7,000 P7 pupils across Norther Ireland through our It's Your Move lessons over the last two months, 83% of these delivered alongside the local Church. Join us as we give thanks to God for this!

We are really thankful for the time Glen spent in Ballymena as an intern this year and how he served the children, young people, staff and schools in our area. Please pray for him as he considers where God is leading Him to next and pray that God would continue to help him grow in his giftings and confidence.

I T ' S Y O U R M O V E C E L E B R A T I O N 🥳🎉

We had so much fun on Friday evening at our It's Your Move Celebration with over 90 P7 pupils and 40 of their parents and guardians. We heard from the Bible, got some advice from Year 8 pupils, met other P7s going to our schools, ate lots of food and ice cream, played games and had lots of fun celebrating these incredible P7s.

A special thanks to Deborah Webster from Thrive Academy who came to share with the parents and guardians on social media, such an encouragement and blessing and we pray this was a real evening of joy for all who were involved.

I T ' S Y O U R M O V E 🥳

This week is our last week of It's Your Move lessons in Ballymena. We are so thankful for the P7s we have met over the last couple of months, the Church volunteers we have worked alongside and the opportunity we have had to equip the P7s with practical and Biblical help for the move to Post Primary School in September.

Continue to pray for the lessons and these incredible P7 pupils over the next couple of weeks.

It's Your Move lessons are well underway in Ballymena schools as we think about how we are unique (like our play dough cats), God has made us with a purpose, fearfully and wonderfully, and we shouldn't change who we are to fit in when we get to our new schools.
