The summer holidays are nearly over and we’re getting ready to welcome everyone back to school!

School starts back next Tuesday, 1st September with a normal full day for our P2–P7 pupils. We can’t wait to see our lovely pupils again and hear about the adventures you’ve had over the summer!

Our Nursery and P1 children will begin their exciting school journey with their own phasing-in timetable. We’re looking forward to meeting our newest pupils and helping them settle into school life.

A little reminder for everyone to get those early nights started and have school bags, uniforms and shoes ready to go! Please ensure that names are on all personal items - school jumpers in particular.

Here is the school dinner menu for next week. Please try to have dinners ordered by Monday night for next week and by Sunday night for normal full weeks.

Wishing all our pupils, parents and staff a happy and successful new school year. We hope you have a lovely final few days of the holidays — we’ll see you on Tuesday!

Is your child starting pre-school or primary school this September? 🎒

Summer is the perfect time to help them feel excited and confident about their new adventure!

📖 Read together, talk about pictures, make up stories and chat about feelings – it all helps build confidence, communication, and learning skills.

🌙 A bedtime story is also a great way to create a calming routine before sleep.

As we come to the end of another busy and successful school year, we would like to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to all of our parents and carers.

Your continued support, encouragement, and partnership have made such a positive difference to our school community. This year has been filled with wonderful achievements, exciting opportunities, and many special memories, and none of it would have been possible without your ongoing support.

Together, we have helped our pupils learn, grow in confidence, and enjoy every step of their journey at St. Patrick’s Primary School and Nursery Unit.

We wish all of our pupils and families a happy, safe, and relaxing summer break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the new school year.

Thank you,

The Staff of St. Patrick’s Primary School & Nursery Unit, Rasharkin. 💚

We had our end of year Mass for the school year. Many thanks to Father McWilliams and everyone who participated including the readers, altar servers, choir and musicians. It was a wonderful way to end the year for the school community. Following the End of Year Mass the Primary 7 classes performed their Leavers assembly for their family and friends. This was a very special morning for a very special group. We will truly miss them!

We welcomed past pupils Shea McFerran and Tom Convery back to school. The boys were players on the winning All-Ireland Antrim Minor team, with Shea being vice captain. In the final both boys contributed valuable scores to help Antrim win the title. Both Shea and Tom said they had many happy memories in St. Patrick's and we are so grateful that they came back to show us the trophy.
