🚨 REMINDER – AGM TONIGHT! 🚨

📣 Calling all parents and supporters of Ballygowan Communuty Preschool and Playgroup!

🗓️ Our Annual General Meeting will take place tonight, Tuesday 16th June at 7.30pm at the preschool setting.

As a registered charity operating under a constitution, we are required to hold an AGM each year. Without sufficient attendance and support from our members, we are unable to continue to function effectively.

🏫 During the meeting, our Chairperson will provide a short review of the 2025/26 year, followed by a financial report. We will then hold elections for the following positions:

• Chairperson• Treasurer• Secretary• Fundraising Committee (minimum of 7 members)

🥰 We warmly encourage parents and members of the local community to get involved. If you are interested in any of the office bearer roles or would like to find out more, please speak to Mrs Barbara.

Your support is vital to the continued success of our preschool, and we would love to see as many people there as possible.

🎨🐰 Name the Hare Competition! 🐰🎨
Following our recent successful Paint & Puds Night with LAURA FLYNN ART , we are delighted to share that Laura has very kindly donated the beautiful hare painting she created on the night!
To be in with a chance of winning this stunning painting, all you have to do is name the hare! 🖌️✨
💷 Entry fee: £5.00 per name
📅 Closing date: Thursday 25th June
🏆 Winner: Laura will personally choose her favourite name!

Applications are open for Free School Meals and Uniform Allowances for the 2026/27 academic year.

Important info for applying:
✔️ Add each child for whom you have parental responsibility and who will be attending full time at school or Regional/FE College to your application

✔️ If children are aged over 16 and you’re unsure whether they will return to school or change schools, add on the application the child’s name and the name of the school your child waiting for results is most likely to attend

✔️ Inform the Meals and Uniform Section by phone or in writing if this information changes. You can do this by emailing [email protected]

Your child’s funding will be delayed if you do not add them to your application before submitting.

Just a little reminder that our sold out Painting & Puds Night is almost here and we can’t wait to welcome you all! 💛

We’re so excited for a lovely evening of painting, delicious puddings, tea & coffee, and great company — all hosted by local artist LAURA FLYNN ART🎨

Terrific Toys – A huge thank you to Ruth from North Down Museum, who brought along a fabulous range of toys from the past for the children to explore, investigate and enjoy. The children had such a wonderful time playing with the toys and listening to a delightful story about teddies. There was lots of excitement, curiosity and smiles all round, and for some of us older folk, it also brought back many lovely childhood memories of the toys we used to treasure.

Well done to all the boys and girls in Playgroup for completing their sponsored walk. 🚶‍♀️‍➡️🚶‍➡️
