🌟 What a fantastic first week back! 🌟

We’ve had a wonderful first week back at school and it has been lovely to see everyone back through our doors.

A special well done to our new P1 children, who have settled in so well and have already made such a brilliant start to their school journey. We are so proud of them.

It has been a busy and happy week filled with lots of learning, laughter and catching up with friends. We’re looking forward to all the exciting things the new school year will bring.

A little reminder that school will be closed on Monday for the Bank Holiday. We will welcome everyone back on Tuesday morning.

🌟 Welcome Back! 🌟

We hope everyone had a fantastic summer holiday and enjoyed some well deserved rest.

We’re looking forward to welcoming all our children back to school on Monday 24th August. P1 pupils have their own arrangements.

🏠 School finishes: 12:00pm

Please note that BPS Club will begin on Tuesday 25th August.

We can’t wait to see everyone and get the new school year off to a great start!

Shout out to P2 at Ballyclare Primary School who collected an amazing £128.91 for Hope365 projects!

This fantastic fundraising effort will go directly toward helping the boys and girls at our school in Shashemene, Ethiopia.

You may have seen that, last week, the Education Minister launched a consultation for a new curriculum for all pupils in Northern Ireland.

Our very own Mrs Irwin led the taskforce that helped write the new guidelines for Digital Technology from Foundation Stage to Key Stage 3. Mrs Irwin’s role in the development is a reflection not only of her expertise in this area but of our teachers’ drive to share their knowledge and innovation with others.

🎨 Illustrator Visit to P5 🎨

Our P5 pupils had a fantastic time welcoming award-winning illustrator Lauren Kelso from Ballymena to school as part of their Feathered Friends topic.

Lauren, who is known for her quirky and imaginative illustrations, taught the children how to create their own beautiful bird artwork using ink and a cocktail stick. She encouraged everyone to let their creativity run free, and our pupils certainly enjoyed the challenge.

The workshop was great fun, and the finished illustrations were beautiful. Thank you to Lauren for sharing her talent and inspiring our young artists.

It was our pleasure to welcome Safer Schools NI to BPS this afternoon to present us with our Safer Schools Certified award. An award for the whole school showing our commitment to safe use of technology in school and at home. Thank you to the team for calling in!

✨ Curriculum Taster Day ✨

Our P6 pupils had a fantastic day at the Curriculum Taster Day at Ballyclare High School - Official yesterday.

They enjoyed experiencing a range of exciting subjects, including PE, Art, History, Languages, Drama and Science. It gave them a great insight into life at post primary school.

Thank you to the staff and pupils at Ballyclare High for making them feel so welcome and for providing such an enjoyable and engaging day. Our P6s returned full of stories about their experiences.
