Year 11 boys had a great day out at the semi-final of the ABP Angus Youth Challenge held in Balmoral.m show grounds. They were grilled by the judges and have done the school proud! Results will be posted at the end for November!

After School Study

Our after school study returns on Tuesday for all Year 12-14 pupils
It will then be on every Monday & Tuesday until Christmas 4-6pm
Winter mock exams begin Wednesday 29th November

We look forward to seeing all pupils in full school uniform on Tuesday at 8.50am.
Monday 6th November is a staff day.
Please note to ensure pupil's safety, the back entrance gate to the school will be closed each morning at 8.30am to traffic. Pupils should use the pedestrian gate to access the school if using the Market street entrance. Lunchtime clubs for juniors continue as normal. Timetable Week A.

Year 9 were able to get their creative skills flowing with their Freeze-Frame acting class, working together to demonstrate the various reasons Europeans went exploring in the C16th.

Sweets, short stories about Samhain, Haunted Mansions and Monster Mash! Phew! I think we all need a break!

As well as sweets and dancing there was actually study of ‘The Haunted Mansion’ in Year 10 English!

Year 12 Creative Media pupils have been working hard preparing and planning for their moving image short films, with fantastic storyboards created, well done! We’re looking forward to seeing how their films progress later in the year!

After 16 years of fantastic service in CPC we sadly said goodbye to our Exams Officer Patricia Donnelly who officially retired today.
Patricia has been a wonderful support to the many hundreds of pupils who have went through CPC.

We ended the first half term in style, celebrating the achievements of all the pupils who have made a special contribution to the life of our school : pupils who took on leadership roles, contributed to the positive learning environment, made every lesson count and maintained excellent attendance throughout all of last year. A special thanks to Ballycastle Credit Union Ltd for their support and to our wonderful canteen staff for the delicious breakfast baguettes enjoyed by all!

Btec Practical Year 14

We are delighted by the success of the launch of our new lunchtime club ‘3:16’; (faith and fun) exploring God’s love through fun activities and games.
This club will run Week B at lunchtime (Monday for senior school and Tuesday for juniors).
The turn-out this week was fantastic! We are excited to see you all back again next Week B (Nov 13th) and hopefully lots of new faces, too.
