Hello, what a fun and messy week we have had at playgroup! 🤗

Our main activities included jelly sensory trays (we will forever be finding jelly🫣😂) , playdough with some googly eye monsters 👀 ,tunnels and tents which proved very fun for playing “Jack in the box”games, and building creations with the magna tiles and puzzles!

The children also enjoyed a craft activity using stick-on food pieces to “feed” the children pictures, helping encourage imagination, fine motor skills and lots of chatting about different foods! 🍎🥕🍌

A big thanks to Mairi, who was our wonderful volunteer again this week! ❤️

This week at Wee Ducklings Playgroup has been full of fun and energy! 🤪

The children loved getting active on the slide, building and creating with Duplo, and testing their skills with the fishing game. Football was a big hit too, with lots of kicking, chasing and teamwork! ⚽️

We also enjoyed exploring with hula hoops, caring for our babies, zooming cars around, and spending some calm time in the reading corner. The colouring table was busy as always, with lots of creativity on display! 🎨

A big thank you to Mairi, who kindly volunteered this week! 🙏🏼❤️ 🌟

Another big thank you to Natalie McLaughlin who so kindly donated a big bag of Duplo to us! It’s been well used already- thank you! 🤩 💛

Good evening everyone,

A little introduction from me- I’m Leanne, and I’m delighted to be stepping into the role of Playroom Manager here at Wee Ducklings! I’m really looking forward to getting to know all our lovely children and families. 🤗

We’ve had a great first week back after the Easter holidays! The children have been busy planting cress and learning how to care for them, running their own little flower shop, getting creative with spring crafts, and enjoying stories and puzzles. 💐🧩

A big thank you to Becks who so kindly gifted us a fantastic tool station- it’s been a huge hit already! ❤️

And thank you to our wonderful volunteer Mairi- the children absolutely adore her ❤️

We still have some availability in our Thursday sessions. If you or anyone you know would be interested then please get in touch to find out more information.

This week at Wee Ducklings Playgroup we had lots of fun focusing on letters and numbers, with plenty of learning through play. The children loved building with the big train track and Duplo, using their imaginations to create all sorts of little worlds. 🚂

We also got creative making some special Mother’s Day cards, which the children were very proud of 💐🥰

A big thank you to Gillian Needham for kindly donating our new chalk board- the children have already been enjoying drawing and practising their marks on it!

Another lovely week 🐥

This week the children had great fun practising their football skills, lots of kicking, running and cheering each other on! ⚽

We also enjoyed spending some quiet time working on puzzles, helping little minds problem-solve and concentrate, and got creative using stencils to make some colourful designs.🧩🖍️

It’s always so lovely seeing the children learning, playing and building friendships each week. ☺️

We offer child-led play with a range of toys and activities so little ones can learn while having fun. In the warmer months we like to get outside too, either using the tennis courts or heading up to Monaltrie Park for our sessions.

We provide a healthy snack and water, and we’re happy to cater for any dietary requirements or allergies.

Our fun and friendly staff are all PVG certified, creating a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

🕤 9:30–11:30am
📅 Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays
📚 Term time only
👶🏼 Ages 1-3 years

In the past, during school closures due to weather, we’ve stayed open where possible to continue supporting families.
