We're part of the campaign to regulate the nanny industry. The downside to regulation is that it could push childcare costs up further with England already among the most expensive countries in the world.

What is the main concern with childcare and the nanny industry in the UK? Is it the lack of regulation, the costs or something else?

Harpenden Town Council have been in touch to let us know about this event taking place at Batford Springs on 6th June. There is so much to learn and enjoy at the Nature Days so if you're local, we highly recommend it.

We get so many requests from parents and fulfill most of them but we get the odd thing that even we can't manage!

- "Need her [nanny] to predict nap times using astrology"

- "Would the nanny stay in the treehouse with my daughter as she loves being outdoors"

- "How do we get a free babysitter? We supply snacks but they just watch our TV and they all want to be paid!"

- "Do your nannys look after pets? We have goldfish, goats, chickens, a cat, dogs and a gerbil. No children"

- "We need a nanny who can commit to our family. Our current nanny doesn't keep weekends free for when we need her, has an attitude every time we get home more than 1hr after her official finish time, won't cover for other staff when they are off. We need someone with a muck in attitude."

- "Our ideal nanny....hmmm....someone thin I guess ....oh but not pretty pretty"
