“Suppose we were able to share meanings freely without a compulsive urge to impose our view or conform to those of others and without distortion and self-deception. Would this not constitute a real revolution in culture?” - Prof. David Bohm.
In 2010, on completing a Fine Art degree Jonny Drury was introduced to Bohm Dialogue and later had a vision of spaces for real dialogue available everywhere in every city.
This event is a continuation of the work in the field, online.
It'll be a unique experience that focuses on presence, communication and real relational dynamics.
It has nothing to do with autism.
It has everything to do with selfhood.
In Dialogue Lab, a small group comes together to explore presence, questions, tensions and our experiences. Rather than monologue, debate, persuasion or seeking answers, we practice communicating authentically, listening deeply, being familiar with silence, and becoming curious about our assumptions. The question ‘What are we thinking and experiencing together?’ is activated.
Dialogue Lab is a space for genuine enquiry.
There is no fixed agenda and no requirement to reach an agreement or speak, unless you feel it’s necessary.
The invitation is simply to participate in a different kind of dialogue and discover what new understanding might emerge between us.
Arrive with nothing figured out. The ground rises to meet you.
And whoever shows up are the right people. Can you be truly open to new meaning?
No experience required.
All welcome. By donation.
