Good evening everyone, Caroline has very kindly agreed for me to message you all!
My name is Natalie and I run local Music with Mummy and Jolly Baby classes in the Lightwater, West End and Bagshot area!
I have a new term starting as of 18 April running on Wednesday mornings at Lightwater Leisure Centre and Friday mornings at West End Social Club!
I am happy to be able to provide 3 free classes to any new mummies with children under the age of 6 months and one free trial to any older children!
It would be lovely to meet your little ones to sing song and shake some maracas!
Please message me for more information and have a wonderful Easter break
Natalie x
Sorry I missed you guys today! Our appointment ran over. See you next week. X
Would anyone be interested having a stall or attending a baby and child nearly new sale if we set one up at the Cedar Tree? If so what would be the preference on days, cost of stall?
Hi lovely local mummies,

I'm sure I met a few of you at the beginning of last year at the Sticky Fingers group and I hope you are all doing well and keeping safe in these difficult times!

I just wanted to let you know that I own a small business in baby weaning and toddler tableware products and am keen to focus more on 'local selling' as I know many people are looking to shop local at the moment.

Our products include
- Bamboo suction bowl and spoon sets which can be personalised (or not)
- Easy-grip cutlery for utensil training
- Stackable section plates - ideal for toddlers so that you dont have to make 50 trips to the kitchen for the next 'course'
- Tablemats - again, ideal for toddlers who are sitting up at the dining table and still making a right mess :)

Please head over to our website for a little nose around - www.scrumpot.co.uk

I am happy to deliver for free within a 3 mile radius of Bagshot or there is free delivery over Β£15 spend on our website.

I have also created a discount code for local mummies so please used - LOCAL10 at checkout :)

Take care of yourselves ❀️

Tomorrow is National Biscuit day! So here’s a baking activity for you!

Did you know that cooking and baking is a great way to get some of your Early Learning Goals into the day in a fun and exciting way? It incorporates many areas of learning; I was able to make sure at least one aspect was covered within each area of learning:

PSED (personal social and emotional development): The girls were taking turns when baking. Sophie was showing sensitivity to Natalie’s needs and understanding that we had to use and ingredients to ensure her little sister could enjoy them too!

C&L (communication and language): They were listening and understanding the instructions, and being inquisitive along the way. β€œWhy are we putting this ingredient in the bowl Mummy?” Natalie used the past tense when speaking and talked about when we had made these biscuits before.

PD (Physical Development) They handled all the equipment carefully and we also brought hygiene and self care into this exercise, speaking about washing our hands, preparing food safely and being self aware when using utensils.

L (Literacy) Sophie wrote some of the recipe down before we started and read it to us from her book. She also checked the ingredients of the butter and chocolate to tell me they were dairy free. Natalie remembered the word flour.

M (Maths) Sophie and Natalie both used the scales and spoons to measure the ingredients. The amount of included in this activity is incredible, from counting how many utensils we needed to how many oat biscuits we eventually made!

UtW (Understanding the World) Whilst making the biscuits we talked about our own immediate environment and how things have been a bit different lately. Natalie doesn’t seem that phased by it but Sophie has certainly taken some time to adjust. Sometimes children are happier talking about their feelings when they’re doing relaxing activities, such as baking. I was able to get more of an insight into how she was feeling and she felt happy to express herself in a safe environment.

EA&D (Expressive Arts and Design) We sang and listened to CBeebies radio when making these biscuits. The girls were exposed to lots of different textures and tastes when experimenting with the ingredients. We used our imagination and thought about different songs and rhythms to use when mixing up the ingredients! Sophie at one point said that she was the chef in charge and we were her assistants in a bakery. Natalie soon copied everything Sophie was saying and a role play ensued!

And all that from baking some yummy biscuits!!!

So please parents...try not to worry too much whether you’re doing enough with your children. They’re learning all the time!

Here’s the recipe! 😊

125g self raising flour
125g soft brown sugar
125g porridge oats
140g or butter (we used Flora dairy free)
2 tablespoons Lyle's Golden Syrup
1/2 teaspoon bicarb of soda
As much chocolate as you like! We used Moo Free Chocolates!

Pre-heat oven at 180. Grease two baking trays. Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl. Heat the butter and the golden syrup until melted and add to dry ingredients stirring through. Make 16 small balls and place on baking tray and flatten down slightly. Bake between 17-20 min. Remove from baking tray as soon as possible and onto a cooling rack! Melt the chocolate and drizzle over!
