It is our intention to create a loving and happy atmosphere in which the children and teachers can work purposefully and effectively and one in which children feel welcomed an

d safe. We aim to provide a Christian environment in which the children can develop into thoughtful and caring people, with respect for themselves, each other and the environment. We expect our children to behave well, demonstrate manners and to work hard to achieve to their potential. To this end, we provide a wide range of stimulating and interesting activities to motivate the children. We offer all children the opportunity to progress at their level, regardless of learning, emotional or physical difficulties or their race or gender. We believe that a sound education while in primary school is an essential prerequisite for development at the secondary stage. It is, however, important that knowledge in any subject is based upon real understanding, and is not restricted to the ability to produce mechanical responses. Through meaningful learning and relevant and balanced teaching, we hope to produce well rounded learners. Learners that demonstrate independence, initiative and self-discipline. Endeavour and personal and collective achievement is praised and rewarded and shared among all pupils, staff (teaching and non-teaching), parents, Governors and the community of the school.

Please can we ask that all children have sun screen applied before coming to school this week, and that they all bring a sun hat and have their water bottle. It's going to be a hot one!🌡️

We plan to make adjustments to ensure the children are not out for too long in the hot sun. 😎

Please help us to keep the children as safe as possible during this lovely but hot few days. 🌞

We had so much fun preparing our Minion scarecrow, and he is out on display! 😊

He's traded caring for Gru for guarding our school, and honestly, we believe he'll do a great job, but we hope he doesn't decide to steal all the BANANAS! 🍌

Grab the family, head out into the village, and see how many scarecrows you can spot this weekend when you come to the Badsworth Village Day! 🎪

🌳🪵🌼 Just a reminder that tomorrow is Year 3’s Outdoor Learning. Please ensure your child comes to school in their full PE kit, including tracksuit bottoms for the woodland area. Your child will also need their water bottle and a waterproof coat. 🌧️
