Little Minds Education Limited I believe that inspiring, creative and real world learning experiences are vital. At Little Minds we realise the importance of family and community.

Just envision learning about the seasons, harvesting, preparing and growing, seasonal produce. Our edible garden educates the child through the real world experience of gardening, nature and how the environment changes through the seasons. It educates the child about the relationship between food, health and the environment Imagine learning how to count; collecting eggs from the chickens, or app

les from the greengrocer. Learning about eco- systems and how they are dependent upon each other in our mini- beast town. Learning to paint whilst creating a star ship to travel to the moon, counting to ten whilst we blast off! Can you think of anything better when you were a child, sharing a book and discovering an imaginary world? We will conscientiously ensure that the children in our care feel part of our extended family and community, whilst developing your own family beliefs and community

Little Minds Nursery has now closed for the summer holidays. We will reopen on TUESDAY 1st September 2026 at 8am for Early Birds and 8.30am sessions.

As another wonderful year at Little Minds comes to a close, we want to share our heartfelt gratitude with our entire nursery community. It has been a privilege to work with all of your children this year.

To our leavers who are moving on to new adventures: we wish you all the best in your new adventures. We are so proud of you all! You will all be really missed! For our children who are returning in September, we can't wait to see you all again and we have lots of fantastic activities planned for you.

We also extend a huge thank you to our families for your continued support. Have a wonderful, safe, and happy summer break.

It is the end of the year and sadly it is time to say goodbye to Jodie. For the last 18 months, she has been an wonderful part of our team as a volunteer. We are so incredibly grateful for for time and dedication! Jodie, we wish you all the best in your exciting new adventure—you will be missed so much by everyone at Little Minds. ❤️

At Little Minds, sometimes the smallest things make the biggest impact ✨
This week, we asked the children to reflect on their favourite memories here. They had so many wonderful ideas for activities they wanted to revisit!
While they loved playing with dough, spotting birds and aeroplanes, and searching for cleavers in the woodland, some of their top choices surprised us. One big favourite was peeling onions—a fantastic, hands-on task for building fine motor skills! 🧅
The children have also enjoyed:
• 🐌 Hunting for snails, slugs, ladybirds and worms in the woodland
• 🫛 Picking and fresh peas, strawberries and apples we grew together
It reminded us that in our nursery, the little things truly are the big things to our children. ❤️

The Dinosaurs have visited the woodland! 🦖🦕 Last week we explored how to find the answers to big questions we don’t know the answer to. We discovered a T-Rex footprint is a massive 1m long.
To visualize it, the children measured it out as:
🥾 18 wellingtons long!

We also looked at height and length of a T-Rex:
🌳 As tall as the trees in our woodland
🦖 As long as the mud kitchen to the large construction area!
The children were curious—what else could we measure a dinosaur in? We finished the day by making our own dinosaur fossils! 🥚✨

Science in action! 🧪✨
Last week, the children had a fantastic time exploring different forces with Lee. Everyone was completely fascinated by how things move!
We started our journey looking at the basics of push and pull before moving on to centrifugal force. There were lots of giggles as everyone tried their absolute best not to spill any water!
💦Next, we investigated gravity and how it impacts movement. The children loved testing how different amounts of water changed how fast, slow, or far our boats travelled down the guttering. 🚣‍♂️💨It was a brilliant, hands-on week of learning and discovery!

Last week, we celebrated our Leavers with a wonderful Teddy Bears’ Picnic! 🧸 The children had a fantastic time playing party games and exploring the woodland with their Teddy Bear friends. Even Freddy Teddy joined in on the fun! We were having so much an amazing time that we completely forgot to take photos, but the memories will last a lifetime. ✨
