Tigers are taking over Prairie Sports Village on a Monday night during the close season , with a smaller Focus group up with NJO Golf Academy at the clubs indoor facility . One of our newer Tiger girls Myla was chuffed to bits with her personal best 93 yards ⛳🐯🙌.

Year 6 - In geography today we carried out a survey to count traffic.

Today in art we focussed on making our drawings “strong” and making sure they won the fight against a busy background. We used some very cute shoes for our still life drawings. We explored soft art pencils, charcoal, HB pencils and pens to create our drawings.

We had our first circuits lesson today in Y4.

We explored three components: a cell (battery), wires and a bulb.

We even had a few clever clogs who created what they called a “double circuit” and discovered they could make the bulb brighter. Something we’ll be exploring very soon…

Hidden Spirals 🐚🌀✍️
The children in Y1 explored the idea of hidden spirals. They placed a sheet of card over their pens and carefully drew spirals, without being able to see the marks they were making.
Once the card was removed, the children created spirals again while being able to see their pens and marks. We then compared the two sets of spirals and noticed the differences. The children discussed how their movements and control changed when they could not see what they were drawing.

Reading Buddies!
Year 1 have had a great time with their reading buddies this afternoon! We meet every Wednesday.
Year 6 love to read stories to the children and talk about their week! 📚

As we are learning all about ourselves today, we enjoyed a lovely biscuit-decorating activity! 🍪✨

The children had lots of fun choosing how they wanted to decorate their own biscuit, making their own decisions and creating something that was unique to them. We talked about how everyone likes different things and how our different choices are part of what makes us special. 💕🌈

The children were very proud of their finished creations and showed lots of concentration and creativity while decorating. Of course, there was plenty of excitement about getting to eat them too! 😋

Our beautifully decorated biscuits will be coming home this evening for the children to enjoy. We hope they taste as delicious as they look! 🍪🥰
