Exploring the Sea Sanctuary Garden, the children pretended to sail out to different Islands. We then imagined what animals may be swimming alongside us in the sea...
The children then got a chance to ride the different bikes and cars, seeing how fast and far they could go! They were super at taking turns and sharing!

Chinese New Year!
This means only one thing - yummy Chinese Food for snack! The children were keen to try some different foods for snack with the noodles and prawn crackers being the favourites.
We have spoken about what Chinese New Year is and why it is celebrated, looking at the story of the Great Animal Race. The children were excited to find out which animal they were and then pretended to be that animal!

Starfish are very kind and caring and they have shown how true this is in the last week!
Talking about who they love and who is special to them, the children worked hard to make 'Love Monster' Valentine's Day cards and jam tarts.
Starfish have also worked on their colour knowledge and fine motor skills by sorting out the pom poms into the correct coloured hearts.

At Starfish we say 'If it's not messy, it's not Preschool' and today we proved it!
With lots of sensory play, the children explored bubbly paint and cornflour snow!
The children then enjoyed a collaging session this afternoon and used their imaginations to aid their creations.
A lovely end to a brilliant week!

People Who Help Us 🚓🚑🚒
This week we have been thinking about people who help us and today we focused on the Emergency Services.
We talked about who we need to call in an emergency and how they help us. Starfish then used puzzles to talk about the different parts of the vehicles and what uniforms each person wore.
The children had great fun with 'freeing' the vehicles and then wrapping them up again for their friends to free.

Starfish have been using their imaginations this week as they have coloured, collaged and created using a variety of materials and tools.
The children used paper and masking tape to create a character of their choosing. Then using pictures, they painted their character. Look at how amazing they all look! 🤩
